How much longer before live chat is working. I cannot use the phone as I am hard of hearing, ebay holding my money as the system will not verify my bank details for payment. Its an absolute mess and ebay have a responsibility to their users. Get it working!

Hi, I dont have any social media. ebay should get live chat sorted out, its disgusting that we have to put up with it. I am hard of hearing so cannot use the phone and ebay keep sending the same messages regarding checking my account and bank details, it is an endless loop and just not good enough for us customers. All the money ebay has and they cant sort this issue out. Its their problem not mine. thanks

Hello Kat, thank you for your reply. How long is that going to be before its fixed? I now have £189 in my account which I cannot access because of the bank verification process. I only have Nationwide and Lloyds as current accounts. These were used on a previous account which has been closed down for some weeks. If this is the reason why my current account cannot verify the bank accounts, what am I supposed to do. If you have multiple accounts on ebay selling different items, it dosn't mean you have to have several different accounts, so why am I having this annoying problem. I want my money soon.
How do we proceed with this when I cannot contact anyone. This needs to be escalated to the highest priority as I suspect I am not the only user with this constant problem. Thank you.

I'm afraid we don't have a timescale on this but we are continuing to link in with tech to have it resolved. You can have more than one eBay account with the same bank account details and both Nationwide and Lloyds are accepted. If you need to verify your bank account details can you go to the red banner alert at the top and confirm your account details through there. One thing to note is the name on the bank account needs to match the registered name on your eBay account. If there is a difference you need to amend. I am unable to check the account details here but other than the callback option you can also reach out to Ebay on some social media channels facebook and instagram. They can help there through private messages.

Can you advise on what is showing when you go to verify your bank details? As you click into the page, see your name is correct, select your bank and click continue what is happening next? Do you proceed to confirm the bank account number and do you get any error messages?

As these boards are public we can't share details about bank accounts. I have had an update from the payments team. They were speaking with you yesterday and sent your account for review. They have heard back and have sent you an email today with the details on what to do.

I have same problem with same company handling for verifying and adding bank account details on the member account has wrongly registered a different account number. So member wants to change or delete this wrong banking details entered by that company with the correct one, Shamelessly, It is now requesting the member to verify account it already entered itself which does not belong to the member, before adding or deleting fake account. If member sells the item then eBay will transfer funds to the fake account created by Ecospend Technologies Limited (on behalf of Trustly Inc.)
