not receiving my security code

for the last few days not been receiving my security code so having to get them to send me an email code is ther an issue with ebay

Disable Ad Block or anything else like that on your browser that may be blocking cookies or trackers.  Worked for me, I wasnt able to log in for 2 days!

hi ,i could not get into my email , and not verify ebay login,

update, i just ask for ebay agent to call,

asked if this issue had been fixed yet, they said its a uk issue, and would be best to try after bnk hol,on tuesday,

and just in case its not fixed, best to get agent to call me, then ask them to call back on a freinds phone,

so to stay connected to help, then activate 2 step verification again, and see if code text is received on my ebay registered phone, and if its not ,the agent is on hand ready to disable  it again,to enable login again,

will update on tuesday, unless there any help from community,,

How is it August and this issue is still not fixed??? eBay, either fix your text verification or take it off!!

I never usually have a problem but I cannot sign in this morning on my other account as I am not getting the SMS code. There is no option to have it emailed to me. It is not my network neither as just tested the SMS system between myself and my husband and messages coming through fine so it must be an eBay problem. I also have 2FA on other websites and all working fine with codes coming through.

Getting the same issue in November 2024. This is over 8 MONTHS old now. Is anyone looking into this?

You need to log out of this UK site,  log into www.com and ask eBay Customer Services there.

So the FIX

I got other ebay user while sat next to me, to get ebay help to call them on their phone,

and i then explained my problem, i then gave the ebay agent my tel number and ebay id  and name,

asked them to call me on my phone,

then when they called me back ,discussed the options and found solution ,

that was the ebay agent with my account open in front of them,

they then disabled two step verification on my sign in page,

i then went back and tried to sign in while still on phone to agent, incase it never worked,

but at last i could sign in without having to get a text code,

they said it was tech issue and should work as normal after 24 hrs, and if wanted i could then go into my account security and re activate 2 step sign in,

but i never went back to try, if text would work, so just use normal one step sign in now

as ebay agent disabled 2 step verification so i could log in, and said to enable it in 24hrs,
