I have sold two items to two differen tpeople. However i can't send them messages at all. This has never happened before. Either on my iphone or desktop it just says "oops" or "something went wrong".
As these items are collection only it is causing a problem. I cant seem to find a way to rasie this with Ebay directly either.

As I said I know that rule doesn't reply to you, but others read this thread, and it may help them.
No one here is sending you 'No reply' emails', we are members exactly like yourself. eBay do not come here to read any posts and your request not to send those emails.
I've tagged kat@ebay our Community Manager who does have access to eBay and their tech team, and can add your account to the ticket, hopefully the tech team can resolve the issue for you.

We can all make mistakes, so I'm a forgiving type. It's not about me & you, it's about how sad Ebay is these days.

I am a member just like yourself.
I do not work for eBay. Nor, do any of the other helpers. Those that do, are encicled in a thick blue line and it will indicate @ ebay.
eBay do not pay me for answering on this forum. It's purely voluntary, for all the members who have, and I must agree and fully dislike, the terms Mentor / Pro Mentor / specialist etc. Nobody asked for these ' titles' they were foisted on us!
We are all volunteers who answer here. Why for not pay??
Most do it just for the manner of helping others on a forum and Company, full of questions and help issues, which we after ** years , have the experience to answer and help, some issue, and as said, voluntary with no monetary gain.
I wish just to help peeps with the spare , lot of spare time now I have, and it pleases me no end when answers have helped, are appreciated and yes, sometimes there just no simple resolution.

We do have two open tech issues for messages at the moment. One for not being able to send a message and the second for the app an error message that it's not delivered. I will add your account to the open ticket for the first one. Once we get an update from tech I will let the thread know.

We do also have issues with messaging, when we reply it does not load on the thread so it looks like there is no message being sent, I first experienced on Chrome then re-started the browser and it was still the same, tried it on Edge which then worked and now that too is also not working,
Do you know when this issue might be fixed?

My response was to Tressygirl not to you! It does say 'in response to Tressygirl' on my copy of my email above.
I get many 'no reply' emails/notifications from Ebay & they do that for a reason...
My response to you was simply saying that my particular issue was different from yours: ) You've not sent me any emails obviously, so sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for your response Kat.
I think the main issue is that the Contact Member system is not working for me. (Rather than 'no reply' emails)
I've used Firefox (always up to date) for many years & made no changes recently, so when the Contact Member facility stopped functioning I cannot see it being a browser issue.
If I go to Contact Seller it shows the usual 3 options with Pro Forma replies. (Details about the item, Postage & Returns) At the bottom it says 'Still Have Questions?' & Contact Seller. Clicking on that button opens a window to Make Offer. That's it!
Clicking on 'Make Offer' takes me back to the original listing window. No option to send a message/ask the seller a question again. Even after I purchase an item & it is delivered I still cannot Contact Seller. (I bought an item last week from a member in Newent)
So what happens if I buy an item that needs pick up? I will not buy an item that I cannot ask the seller a question about it. Nor sell any item that a potential buyer cannot ask me a question about it.

Hi Kat, I'm also having issues. The new messaging system will not let me send a message to the seller of an item I bought more than a week ago. When I write the message and hit send it keeps sending the message back to me but under the seller's name as if they wrote it instead. It doesn't show as me sending any messages. I've tried clearing the cache etc , I've tried sending messages via all the options including the screen where I purchased the item, to the seller's profile where it gives me the option to contact the seller, but then I still have exactly the same problem as before - it sends my own message back to me as if the seller sent it, it does not reach the seller. My item should have arrived almost a week ago. It was supposed to have been sent with 48 hour tracking, I've heard nothing since I paid. There may be flooding in the area where my seller is but if they tried to contact me about any possible delays or issues getting my item to me it seems they can't contact me either. This is a real mess. I wanted to start selling again myself, but if my buyers can't contact me and I can't contact them I'm holding off. I think it's to do with the new messaging system because it was fine until it changed. I had changed back to the old version but now that option is gone and this issue is not getting resolved. Please help!

I am also having a problem contacting a seller. Go to the contact seller tab which brings up the message screen but I cannot type in any message.

Hi Kat, please add me to the list of people who can't collect an item they've bought because messaging doesn't work. I can't believe this has been going on for a month and isn't fixed yet.
