Hi
In a web browser (MS edge, windows 11) i would like to view the original listing / seller photos after the purchase, so on the order details page i scroll down to the orginal small photo under "Item details" and click on it, expecting to see other photos from the sellers original posting, i dont, it just takes me to a page and in a green bar says "You bought this item", which i know as im on the order details page!
However on my iphone app if you load up the same, click on the image, you get a link to "see original listing"
So how can i see original listing in a web browser please?

Does anything else appear on that page with the green banner, if you scroll down past the sponsored listings?
eBay likes to load up ended listings with lots of ads for similar items, which can push the original description quite far down the page.
If that does not help, try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

I feel very silly now, it basically as you says puts loads of similar items and inspired by your recent view sections and if you keep scrolling you finally find the thing you wanted... school boy error on my side (but i think the page could be much better laid out!) thank you ...
Out of interest do you know how long the sellers listings \ pictures are kept for on ebay (and assume they cannot be altered / removed by seller) once sold.

Schoolboy error by ebay web designer, not you.
FTFY.

I heartily concur with @johnwash1 -- lots of folks are making very similar complaints and having the same problem.
When many are experiencing an issue with what absolutely should be a straightforward task, that is a sign of poor interface design or implementation.

I'm not sure this is an error. Anything that encourages a buyer to give up on a complaint is welcomed by eBay.

They added -See original listing - link now. Which is broken on browser.
Need to go app to check description.
Ebay keep forcing to load up irrelevant listings ,using up your data allowance on unwanted nit even similar sales for no reason.
.adding extra click to reach details.
Previously everything was clear and visible on one page.
Now need to click 200 to fight with all the pointless adverts and scams.
They break something with every uncalled update.why?
Not cool.
Not nice.
