A prospective buyer has messaged me and asked if she can buy my item straight away for immediate payment, less than the start price. I have tried to search for her history using 'advanced search' but nothing comes up. Her user name has no brackets after it showing her feedback rating. Nine weeks ago I sold a £5 board game"for collection only". The buyer paid promptly and I left them positive feedback. It then turned out that they live about 50 miles away and were a bit put out when I said that I wouldn't post it out. I offered a refund - which was turned down. They said that they'd collect it when they were next passing this direction I again offered a refund, and was rejected. I've messaged them a few times since, but have no response for about 6 weeks now. Given that I sold it as I wanted it out of the house, how long is it reasonable for me to store the darn thing while they may, or may not, ever come for it?   I reported this to Ebay as an issue 3 weeks ago... and am still awaiting a reply there as well.   My next step should be to ...? ... hi this is my problem i sign up for business policies fill in all the postage charges and went live with it and all my original listed items are fine can post world wide but every new listing i do with no exclusion zones set ( im on manage payments and business policies) i get all these countrys put into my exclude zone.  Excludes: Greenland, Canada, United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Guyana, Bolivia, Venezuela, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Suriname, Peru, French Guiana, Ecuador, Haiti, Liberia, Nicaragua, Turkmenistan, Mauritius, Sierra Leone. but in all my other original listed items i have they are. Bolivia, Haiti, Liberia, Nicaragua, Turkmenistan, Paraguay, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, Venezuela. which is fine, but i want to post to usa canada etc,ive tryed all ways to list from sell simalar to creat a new listing from finding one for sale by another seller and using the have one for sale link, nothing works, ive cleaned out my all time cookie history, check all my business policies against another seller ( friend) all set the same, hes new listings he does are all ok able to post to usa canada etc. hes on manage payments and business policies as well all the same.  but not me every new listing all countrys excluded listed above. driven me mad, people at ebay have not got a clue, anybody shed any light on this. ... I have had an email from ? ebay stating that they will be dealing with all my payments and no dealing with paypal, is this true or false. I am a suspicious person and they are asking for my account details which I will not be giving until I have confirmation of a positive answer. ... View more

Has an email from Ebay saying the person who brought my item is a suspicious buyer. I have already sent the goods and had payment. A few days later Paypal contacted me and was told the byer has opened a case as they have not received goods. I was not asked for any information and now the case has been closed in buyers favour and the money returned to them. I disputed this with Paypal and sent proof of posting and was told that as the buyer has not said they have received the goods the case stands in there favour. Obviously this person is a scam and won't admit to having the goods. Can ebay do anything to help as i have no money from the sale  as Paypal refunded it to the buyer and also have no goods either. Hello. I am selling my phone and I've had people message me asking for my PayPal email address.    1. This seems most definitely like a scam as they should just go through checkout like everyone else    2. If by any chance I email them with my PayPal email and the money is actually in my account (not just a fake PayPal email saying so) Am I obliged to actually send them the phone as technically all they've done is send me X amount of money.... but I highly doubt I would receive the money anyway.   Thoughts?  ... A buyer opened a 'not as described' case and returned a pearl necklace and bracelet giving a quite flimsy reason.  I accepted the return and the items have arrived back with a bit of damage on the gift boxes.  I had packaged them carefully when I sent them with lots of thick bubble paper but they were returned by the buyer with only a thin layer of bubble paper and now have a small hole and some scratches on them. If I put them back on sale this might deter someone looking for a gift from buying and they were in perfect condition when they were sent.  Do I still have to give the whole refund as I am now not only loosing postage costs but the item is slightly devalued? ... I thought I had added a buy it now price to my listing but a potential buyer has saiid there is no buy it now price on the listing. I have 2 questions. I have a glass topped table in my listings and a prospective buyer wants to know if he can send a courier to collect. I have requested cash on collection but, under these circumstances, I imagine Paypal is best. I have a niggling feeling that this scenario is unwise - I'm also worried it might get smashed in which case who would be responsible? And how do I know if the courier is who he says he is?
