Has an email from Ebay saying the person who brought my item is a suspicious buyer. I have already sent the goods and had payment. A few days later Paypal contacted me and was told the byer has opened a case as they have not received goods. I was not asked for any information and now the case has been closed in buyers favour and the money returned to them. I disputed this with Paypal and sent proof of posting and was told that as the buyer has not said they have received the goods the case stands in there favour. Obviously this person is a scam and won't admit to having the goods. Can ebay do anything to help as i have no money from the sale as Paypal refunded it to the buyer and also have no goods either. Any help would be great. These buyers should not be allowed on Ebay.
unless you can prove delivery with on line tracking you will lose any not received case.
As a PayPal case has been opened and dealt with you won't be able to do anything through eBay.
You will also find that you will not get a refund of the selling fee.
Too late now and bearing in mind that buyers only have POSITIVE feedback have yo looked to see if there are any warning signs in the buyers feedback or feedback they leave for sellers.
It is odd that buyer opened a Paypal Case, it might be that they paid as a "Guest" which means that the Ebay Money Back Guarantee does not apply, but could also mean that they have tried this before.
Proof of posting is just that, it does not prove delivery, UNLESS it is a package when the PoP would have a tracking number which you should have entered on EBAY & PAYPAL when marking as dispatched.
If there is no tracking number then you should use the PoP to make a claim on Royal Mail for Loss. They will need to see evidence that you have refunded. If there is a tracking number which shows as delivered, then they will not accept your claim.
