As subject....about a year ago I finally got Packlink to work from Print Postage option. I recall I had to do something to my account to enable Packlink. Anyway it worked fine for a year. Yesterday I did a big Cookie clearing excercise (bad mistake). Amongst the problems I now have is a return to the problem I had last year with Packlink. I click the Packlink tab and can print a delivery note ok, but after I have selected weight and Collect/Dropoff options there is NO CONFIRM and PAY button. There is if I select Royal Mail, but that's not the service I want.    I went onto Site Preferences within my account and there were approvals (2 of them) for Packlink so I removed those hoping that it would then go through the process to approve them again, but no difference. I still have no Confirm and Pay button.   This all reminds me of the frustration i had a year ago and used Parcel2Go for a while, but then Packilink started working for me and I can't rememberwhat I did to get it working.   Any ideas would be appreciated. (and please no "why on earth are you using Packlink" comments  , I do actually find it quicker than going to Hermes etc direct or Parcel2Go) ... View more

I sold an item on 12/4 and posted two days later on 14/4 via second class standard. The item was a low cost dress and so it would have cost more than the bid price to send signed for. The buyer claimed not receieved on 17/4 and i said i posted 2nd class which can take up to 5 working days.  I received a message today asking for tracking details (a very rude, short message i must add) and i explained that i have no tracking details due to the method of postage and that there have been slight delays due to the current covid-19 situation but if the item has not arrived by friday i would happily refund them, i would just like them to wait a few more days to see if the item shows up. They have ignored my messge and instead opened an item not received case.  What can i do in this situation, i feel like i have been more than polite and requesting them to wait a few more days to see if there was a delivery delay with royal mail is a valid and responable request? The item could very well show up in the next day or two, as today is only one day after the 3-5 second class mail expectation. Im selling on ebay. Theres sre some items sold last week and yet they are not delivered( use royal mail 2nd class for post) Some customers ask for refund and some ask for the items . So at thsi stage its really worrying to keep the ebay shop open or not. Because if this delivering delays customers are not happy and they tend to get the refund or asking for item again to post. This is totally fair from the buyers side. But the sellers are to loose the items and tthey got to refund the buyers as well when they didnot receive the items on time?  ... View more

Sold an item for a fair price - buyer wanted it delivered which I arranged.   Address was the one listed by ebay and paypal. It was a petrol station.   Item delivered to petrol station (I have tracking proof) but rejected.   Buyer has opened a case against me for 'missing items' and demands a refund.   Item being returned to me (I think) and I'm happy to provide a refund when its returned,   BUT   who foots the rather expensive postage bill?   thanks   ... I sold an item internationally.  During transit the buyers country suspended postal operations due to the COVID situation. The parcel was held until they country will accept shipments.  Since the delivery was late as case was opened and closed as the item has still not been delivered. the courier has stated they will not return the item and it will deliver the item when restrictions are lifted.  But the case is already closed in their favour, when they receive the item they would not have paid for it.  I had 30 days to appeal but considering the global COVID situation is do not think it is fair to expect the same turn around as normal when most of the world is in lockdown. To appeal I need to tracking to show delivered but I can not be sure it will be within 30 day since but I can not control how the world reverts to normal operating norms.  Otherwise eBay wants a statement from the courier, signed with a telephone contact to confirm this, but the courier is not obligated to do so and has simply told me to check for updates of the tracking. please advise.  It is obvious I have tracking and purchased a guaranteed service, at the time of dispatch there was no flags of service delays. ... Having a nightmare at the moment, and need help asap.   I recently sold an item on ebay, collection only. I was messaging the buyer back and forth arranging collection and payment. On multiple occasions I asked for payment to secure the item, however no luck.   The buyer came up with many (understandable excuses) such as buying a car, moving house and obviously now lockdown. I've been very patience and understanding however it's now April, and the item was sold in February.   I've asked the buyer for payment to secure the item, and we can arrange collection at his leisure once lockdown is over, however he is now ignoring me.   Ebay's phone lines are closed so i've been emailing them back and forth. If i'm honest, i'm ready to scream! Ebay have been completely useless and not actually helped me, so i'm turning to you fellow sellers.   Ebay explained as it's been over 30 days, I cannot cancel the transaction. I don't care about the selling fees etc,  I just want to remove the listing all together as I have no interest in selling this any time soon. I've tried to email them screenshots of my chat with the buyer as proof, however no way to do so.   They also advised relisting the item, well it still shows as awaiting payment on the original listing.   I don't know what to do. I'm really annoyed with the buyer for messing me around, and now ignoring me, but i'm furious with Ebay for not actually having a bloody solution to this. I believe I have identified an issue with Automatic Bidders.   Recently I listed an item. The winning bid was placed automatically at the last second by a member who only created an account a few days earlier. They did not respond to any of my correspondence and did not pay.   I have relisted the item which ends today. Again I am getting Automatic Bids from a different member who also only created an account a few days ago. I am concerned that this bidder will also not pay if they win.   Has anyone else experienced this issue with Automatic Bids?   Can I prevent automatic bids in future?   Should someone who has only recently created an account have full access to all the benefits, or should they have to prove themselves first? ...
