As a new seller, my funds are on hold. I get the reason why. What I object to is that even though the buyer has left me feedback as having received the item. Unless they actually mark the item as "Delivered" the funds are still held for the full time. A lot of buyers just do not communicate and so here I am still waiting.      ... View more

I am a private seller and tend to send cheaper items by ordinary mail however I've had 3 buyers in the last fortnight alleging non delivery.  I think Ebay is not helping by allowing buyers to open a dispute too early - the last two have opened disputes the day after Ebay's "estimated" delivery date.  Added to that, Ebay is not allowing for Christmas post.  I can see that I will have to revise my shipping and charge for Signed For mail which seems a lot for items under £5.  What are others experiencing? ... Royal mail is currently experiencing delays.   Not according to the website, but according to my postman, who tells stories of people exhausted from excessive overtime, post backing up for days, and stacks and stacks of undelivered mail without enough people to deal with it.   A lot worse than a normal Christmas period.   At the same time, i am suddenly getting a lot of item not recieved claims.   Is there a link, do you think?   Are Ebay aware?   Do you think they might now look at removing late delivery defects, like they did in the summer?   thanks     ... I have a potential buyer who is saying that he wants to offer me more than the current bid of £85 on an item I'm selling, but I'm limiting bids? Can someone please explain what this might be? His exact words ' Have a limited bids? Don't you sales this???? I am a new seller and had bulk orders that I used click and drop for.   I took them to Victoria delivery office ( as Post office dont accept tracked!) and they got very huffy saying I should be going to Wandsworth Sorting office.    It took two days for them to travel from Victoria to Central London sorting, Should I just take them to central london sorting?   How do you get parcels into the sorting system fast? I sold a large mirror to be collected in my city. After the sale I asked my buyer if he would collect it from a car park near my house . I do not have street parking. I have "sold" two items to the same buyer. They can go together in one package & save postage. I asked the buyer to do the BIN but not pay so that I could send a combined invoice. Unfortunately he opted to change it to cash on collection (he can't collect & I don't expect him to) as he maintained he couldn't complete the action otherwise. Now I can't send an EBay invoice as the system says it's CoC. Can I send a Paypal invoice instead or do we have to go through  the cancel & redo option?    Many thanks ... View more

Hi   I sold a dress on 29 August and the buyer was happy with it.   Now, on 10 December, I've had a message saying that she tried the dress on, but put it away until now.  Having a wardrobe sort out, has found a stain on the front of the dress, which wasn't noticed on delivery. She hasn't worn the dress, literally took it from my parcel, tried it on and put it away.   She has provided photos.  Indeed there is a faint mark.  However, it's in such an obvious place that I'm certain I would have noticed it when listing the item, and packaging it for posting.   Looking at my photos, it's very difficult to decide whether or not there was a mark on the dress before I sent it.   What shall I do?
