I am a new seller and had bulk orders that I used click and drop for.
I took them to Victoria delivery office ( as Post office dont accept tracked!) and they got very huffy saying I should be going to Wandsworth Sorting office.
It took two days for them to travel from Victoria to Central London sorting, Should I just take them to central london sorting?
How do you get parcels into the sorting system fast?
Many thanks,
Kit
Although I no longer sell on eBay, when I used to sell on eBay I used to package each item individually so as to avoid another buyer's item getting into the wrong package, only putting more than one item into a package if all of those items had been purchased by the same person and paid for via an invoice with a combined postage discount. I never used to print address labels from eBay and so would always hand-write the buyer's address on the front of the Jiffy bag and my returns address on the back of the package on the stick-down flap, with the item listing number(s) written on the back of the package right at the bottom. Once I'd done that and the goods were ready to go I would take all the packages to my local Post Office and buy fully tracked postage whilst I was at the Post Office. Once that was over and I'd paid for the postage on each parcel I would then hand the lot over to a Post Office employee (they would often be lurking next to the self-service tills at my local branch) and they would then add the parcels to the pile of all of the other items awaiting sorting and distribution. After I'd got back home I would upload the tracking number and send each buyer a quick e-mail to let him/her know that the item(s) that he/she had purchased had been posted out and ought to be arriving shortly. It worked well for me - I regularly had good reviews from buyers, and my rating for the question "How quickly did the seller despatch the item?" was always very high and I was fortunate enough to have never received any negative feedbacks from any of the buyers I sold to.
