I list a few things on ebay occasionally, but this new simple delivery is just rubbish for sellers. It assumes that ebay actually know the size and weight of items And that everyone can easily get to Evri or other courier services easily. Why did they have to stop the seller from deciding how to post items? Put me right off bothering to use Ebay.

'I contacted an agent and they told me that they will escalate this as an urgent priority and get back to me.'
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate to have to tell you that this is a lie.
They just told you something that you wanted to hear to get you off the phone.
Simple Delivery isn't going to be 'escalated' as an 'urgent priority' for any single seller: it's for ALL private sellers, like it or lump it.......

Hi jezzagold, it’s not just the sellers it’s not working for, we as buyers are not getting our goods either, ordered a dress from a seller , it didn’t arrive, everi made loads of excuses, had to have a refund, ordered another dress from the same supplier, guess what everi have failed to deliver that as well, making loads of excuses, tried talking to eBay, they are no help, just telling me to apply for a refund, it’s not a refund I’m after, it’s the goods I have ordered.

'it’s not a refund I’m after, it’s the goods I have ordered.'
Exactly!
Unfortunately, there does seem to be an increase in reports of parcels not being delivered, lost/stolen/damaged etc since Simple Delivery started - and then it's, 'oh well, never mind, have a refund...' which is all well & good, but I'm sure we would all much rather something was done about the unsatisfactory courier situation.
Obviously, as a buyer, it can be extremely disappointing not to receive an item, and for sellers, it's not only the loss of the item, but the scandalous waste of time and effort spent listing, packing & posting... all for nothing. ☹️

Don't forget the seller being out of pocket, you don't always get a refund for your cost as a seller!
There is one thing that can be done, as a seller I have selected the royal mail as my only parcel service and excluded evri, you can do it in your seller settings, a 100 times better parcel service, i have had one single parcel wander through them in a year!
I wonder what GPS system evri uses, for most of last year every evri parcel attempted delivery to me took it to one of two factories/industrial units about half a mile from my address, one always returned them but the other was empty, but they still kept leaving parcels there, I mean! Common sense guys! When a builder went in to do some work for a new tennant they reportedly found over 100 parcels for a load of different addresses in the housing estate, just dumped through a broken window! Duh!

Same here. Postage is more expensive if you exclude Evri, but worth it to avoid them! Maybe if everyone excluded Evri, Simple Delivery would shrivel up & die...? 😄

Do you know yours was reply 666 of 666? Where are the horns?
But back to the subject, what is it 30p, you get what you pay for! You want cheap and *bleep* save the 30p, you want your item, pay it!

Evri knows they mess it and their careless when they say have the seller send you another one etc, they can't understand we buy second hand unique items as well. I had to go to Court for a refund by the, and thanks God I could do it since I bought directly from the, because with Simple Delivery from Ebay I don't see the case, and I wanted the item. I never got to knew what was of it. Seller never had it back since she was cooperative with the matter giving me all the Ring videos and offering to try and go to depot for me, and here never arrived. They could only provide me with it has been scanned out the depot and then we don't know where it is... I still have problems today since I needed that item and I can't find another one like that and I need it for a project... I had the money but I would prefer the items, I feel you. Also I thought I could still buy but my last purchase because of Simple Delivery has been a nightmare since seller uses both evri and royal mail and stated in description but when I wanted to pay the item, he had to wait 2 days!! I had to spend 2 days sorting this out and customer service quit the conversation since the operator couldn't help. I had to insist until another one different answered and I the end they told us to do the old way! So if the old way still works better why to enforce this awful system?? I could have done like this immediately so sellers doesn't have to wait to get their money more then already they have. Useless waste of time since they couldn't help and we had to sort our way. Lucky this seller was a very cooperative one.

EBAY postage options seem to have gone totally barmy today. Just listing my son's childhood collection of Dandys, lost for decades. Thankfully they can be sent as large letters avoiding the useless SD service - but that is now weird as well. If you reject SD it only offers 'choose your untracked service' - yet that still offers the full suite of packlink options, so I used Tracked 48 as that is the most appropriate. The listing now offers Tracked Service Free Postage as I want. But it also offers Expedited Service at a cost of £2.92 which I never asked for, nor is it clear who pays. The system is disintegrating.

Hello, I am having same issues as well, I have more then 80+ listings expired to renew, but I am not gonna do it by Simple Delivery, I just tried to renew one that was large letter, but the system now revert Simple Delivery and Custom one, so when it was posted I had it by Simple Delivery which is too dangerous legally speaking so I prefer not to do it this way. So at the moment custom on those items is not possible. Suddenly the 1£ once fee to sell on Shpock looks very attractive now.

'Do you know yours was reply 666 of 666? Where are the horns?'
I didn't spot that! Rather appropriate, considering eBay appears to have sold their soul to Evri... 😈
