Is Simple Delivery mandatory now ? used to be able to select custom postage option but it’s not available now. Just tried listing and Simple Delivery is the only option for postage

"They’re so sloppy in their rush to get this system out that table doesn’t even differentiate between second and first class….they just put 4.27 for which service????"
I don't know whether it's sloppy, deliberate or sheer incompetence, but the table has the weight bands overlapping. So for example, for Royal Mail only, the table says:
2-10kg £7.27
10-15kg £12.34
So what if the parcel is exactly 10kg, which band would it fall into? It should say like Royal Mail say - "up to" 10kg. Let's see if they change it, but it shouldn't be left to customers to spot this lack of attention to detail.

Definitely not written by a Royal Mail employee or any competent clerk admin person with half a brain cell
Shoddy but expensive
and they want ebay to be a high end luxury site
try high end management of the daily business, that would be a good start

I listed an item last week and wanted to charge the buyer £348 total (thought it would be nice as that was what was on the item’s price tag), and use ‘bring my label’ - so I listed at £334.58 with the bpf coming in at £13.42 and used advanced custom postage to offer ‘free’ RM special delivery bought from my click and drop so it can go on Monday morning instead of next Friday afternoon which is the earliest I’d be able to go out and use a QR code.
Kerching. Tonight I ‘made the sale’! My last one on eBay ☹️, as my last two listings have now been ended never to return.
My pending funds show £334.58 ‘awaiting delivery’. So far so good.
HOWEVER:
In ‘my payments’ the order shows as

the postie has never failed to collect. And why won't they do tracking anymore?
post offices aren't actually paid for the postage that is royal mail, so they won't be underpaid.
I'm hoping that as I rarely go over small parcel size it will be ok. But I might not last the long haul. So far there is nowhere as good as ebay for selling things and I need to get rid of a lot of things!!

🤔Just wondering how your supposed include the size and weigh each item when listing multi items without being in possession of an individual dedicated box for each item + packing protection material used when listing that item? Just asked my local village store post office counter about accepting ebay SD items and received a blank look and a reply if doesn't match the RM size and have the correct postage rate paid after being weigh at the counter then it won't be accepted (it took them 6 months in the past to even accept an ebay printed RM post label)

I'm not sure why you suggest the royal mail won't give tracking anymore or why the postie will not collect if collection arranged.
At the moment ebay is the most viable option for selling my stuff and there is a lot to get rid of. Other options I've looked at mean paying out first.
I will stick to small parcel royal mail size to try and avoid any problems, even tho it will cost my buyers a heck of a lot more than actual costs and there will be no first class option.

Will be from April 15th
I have put in a complaint as it doesn't work for me at all & they aren't giving personal sellers any choice.
Hopefully if we all complain they will change their minds

Ref: Home RM collection? I live out in the sticks and lucky if my post persons reaches my property more than 3-4 times weekly then i'm lucky since they changed to using electric vehicles more so in the colder months, By the time to deliver to my area the batteries are discharged so it's back to the depot to recharge (If a charger is available) Now if they can charge the vehicle delivery is now somewhere between 3-4pm where's before it was 12-1pm before using EVs So that looks like ebays 3 day delivery schedule is out.

As I've repeatedly said elsewhere, the 3 day delivery quotes are obviously a trap.
They told sellers we would have 3 days to turnaround orders.
How do we have that if they are telling buyers delivery dates 3 days from date of purchase?
The ability to deselect Royal Mail is another trap. They are the only courier with full UK coverage. So unless you fancy dangling yourself for a postcode discrimination suit it's impossible.
Reading what they are saying, their exact choice of words, is important.
But then you need to look at what's missing.
ANOTHER EXAMPLE

They don't have to listen to you, you're wasting your time.
They do have to listen to regulating authorities if they come knocking though.
