Simple Delivery missing parcels

Hi, I recently sent some orders using eBay's Simple Delivery system with evri and all 4 have gone missing. Two of the buyers so far have put in a claim for a lost parcel with eBay which I assumes is the correct route to go down as they have buyers protection. What happens in this situation? Am I liable for the cost of the refund? Currently the claim for both buyers say the item is on it’s way and that I need to do nothing as its covered my Simple Delivery. They were scanned into the system then tracking has not been updated since I sent it last week so it’s unlikely these people are ever going to get there orders. What happens and what do I need to do to recuperate the money so I’m not at a loss and be fair to the customers at the same time? I’m new to this

Thanks to simple delivery you are covered, if I were you I'd reach out to the others and just let them know you've checked the tracking and whilst you have done your part evri (shock horror) seem to have had issues and advise them to open an INR once the delivery date has passed. As long as you have them scanned in eBay take full responsibility unlike if you done it yourself where you'd need to chase evri.

Simple Delivery missing parcels

Thank you. I’ve already reached out to everyone already. One hasn’t replied, the other is needing some encouragement to do it and has asked me to send the things again free of charge. I’d say they were put in the Royal Mail bag accidentally at the drop off point- a silly mistake which would explain why they’ve not been collected. I’ll attach the request thing for one of them to clarify it because it’s unclear. Saying they see the delivery is on its way to the buyer is throwing me, I don’t know how to interpret it. I’m glad I won’t be seen as liable though

The delivery is on the way just means you've dropped it off, thats all. All you can do is be honest and if they dont open an INR you cant do much else. Don't send anything else, the buyer has insurance via eBay.

One thing though if you have sold 29 of the same fragrance you might need to upgrade to a business account as thats not private seller selling unwanted items, so the bpf that they are being charged is pretty harsh on them as they shouldnt be paying it.
