Rip off eBay

Another corrupt company has now shown me that they have joined the growing scam culture that is unfortunately being accepted in our country. It all comes down to the simple things that we are tought to avoid by our elders are now acceptable in today's society. I'm not going to let my children learn to accept this way of life and I hope that the bosses and regulators of eBay and similar companies don't teach their own children to be like them. We're only here for a short time but what we do in life echo's an eternity so please don't entertain these scammers and delete your eBay account!

Ebay has away settings for both business and private sellers. You can either prevent sales or allow them. If you allow sales, ebay updates your dispatch date. I usually allow sales unless Im actually away. Ive recently used away settings but allowed sales due to a run of various appointments (hospitals tend come with delays despite having appointment times and one of my appointments required me to go and sit for an xray after which extended my hospital visit), its easier to put away settings on and allow sales when you have personal things going on as it means no stressing about getting things packed and mailed.

They also have a holiday mode which is a really helpful feature. Pauses all your listings until you return.

Previously, when using ebay I had to either delist everything (and lose favourites) or change the turnaround time to a period longer than my holiday and drop any buyers a quick message.

eBay have a holiday mode - Time Away:

Thanks for letting me know. Bit late now, but this wasn't my major reason for going to the other platform anyway.
