Not having heard of any problems with these, I have just been to the PO with two YA Tracked 48 parcels. The manager scanned them (nice beep) and issued a proof of purchase slip. She then mentioned that there was a glitch in the system at present and she'd have to manually write the tracking number, which she did on both.
No mention of not able to accept or to take elsewhere.
I was just looking at the help pages about something completely unrelated and saw eBay's message - "The Post Office is experiencing issues with Royal Mail T48 labels (print in store and at home). We expect resolution by Monday, 4th August. Meanwhile, send parcels using alternative locations like Collect+ and Lockers".
WHY was this not a banner on my my sold items page?? I had no idea and too late now.
I'm just now hoping that the tracking will kick in at the sorting office but where do we all stand if not??

Well I just got back from our local PO (Co-Op).
I took the proof of postage printout that you can printout and they stamped it. They also gave me a receipt (of sorts). Luckily, they are both experienced operating the PO tills and were well aware of the problems, although they were told it effected YO labels too. They said it had been ongoing for several days now.
They did confirm that the parcel should get scanned once in the Royal Mail system. At least I have a stamped printout to say it was posted, so I should be covered??

Yep, same here. Tried at two separate post offices (AM & PM) both the same thing. I will try again in the morning. Then will contact EBay, see what they have to say.

I’m a business seller so have got a good few parcels waiting to go but not scannable at the post office, to be honest I’m not comfortable leaving my parcels at my local nisa PO so I have cancelled all my labels and have redone them all for collection tomorrow. Hoping that will work but all the labels still have the YA prefix but hopefully the postie takes them and at least they will be straight on their way to the sorting office. Fingers crossed 🤞

On my second visit this morning to get a YA posted.
I was given an old fashion proof of postage for 3 items.
Don't know what the problem with P.O. is but by 17.00 2 of the 3 items were marked posted because - I assume - R.M. had taken delivery and scanned.
Waiting for the 3rd item to show up as posted. ☹️

Royalmail lockers not working either. Guess I will try the local depo that opens for 2 hours at 8 in the morning…

Hi All,
Hi - I spoke with Ebay customer service earlier & they confirmed that the problem is an Ebay issue not the Royal Mail after all. Ebay need to fix the system. I asked if they can put an alert on the site so everyone understands the issues & when they are likely to be resolved.

Just to advise that the issue is with Ebay not Royal Mail after all - I was told this by Ebay customer service earlier this afternoon, they said they need to fix the system at the Ebay end.

eBay customer service told me this afternoon that the problem is with ebay, not Royal Mail. it seems Ebay have got a problem they need to fix.

Unless Ebay now own Royal Mail and the Post Office, it is not an Ebay problem.

Too many posts to go back through, but I seem to recall that people buying shipping direct from Click & Drop, or Parcel2go, have been experiencing this problem?

Bless their cotton socks, they’ll only say what they understand and it’s often wrong
it’s not an eBay problem or a simple delivery problem
its a problem on other platforms too
it’s a rm/po problem

Hi
The lady I spoke to at the Post Office this morning said it was a Royal Mail issue. The Post Office should accept your parcels but they don't get any remuneration from Royal Mail which is probably why some are reluctant to accept. I left my parcels with them and ebay is updated, but I didn't get a proof of postage.

My post office took my parcels and provided a manual certificate of postage similar to when sending an untracked stamped letter etc - but still quoted the address etc, I am not sure why the other post offices have not been able to provide this to other people as it is simple to do and pretty standard.
