I bought a track48 label through eBay and this morning a nice lady at the Post Office said that track48 with the YA number is not accepted and that I should contact the seller. does anyone have a similar problem? did ebay uk sell me a fake label?

I had the same issue. Have taken photo of the parcel with the YA label on it.
Hopefully it works eventually as not sure how to get it back.
Item sold is expensive so can't have them loose it.

The problem I found was that the tracking was showing that I had to post the item. If this doesn't update an unscrupulous buyer could say item never arrived (even when it did) and get a refund. The seller wouldn't have any proof of postage and be uncovered. I asked for my parcel back and will post tomorrow. Even if I buy new postage there's no way to add a new tracking number and I bet eBay won't cover you?

So how come you can scan at a parcel locker but they can't scan at the Post Office???

They are on different systems...

Yes if you enter an email address

Me too it was color kindle sold for £200, which is why I asked for it back (it was Sunday evening, so the guy could easily retrieve from the back room). I just wasn't happy sending without proof of postage. You can't guarantee it gets scanned in the system. You just won't be covered by eBay if anything goes wrong 😞

According to our local post office, this has been going on since Saturday 2nd. The same problem happens when you buy from the RM website, so don't buy there either..... No idea when this will be fixed
You will need to cancel the label in ebay, and wait for royal mail to refund the label cost... which is usually a monstrous amount of time. ( we claim them through paypal)
You will then need to take the parcel to the post office and buy a label from them, and then input the tracking into ebay. This will actually now cost £4.05 per label

I guess the Postal Lockers are different to the Post Offices in that they are controlled by Royal Mail and are a seperate entity and maybe Royal Mails computer system is different to the Post Office.
It was the first time I have used the Postal Lockers and found it extremely easy to navigate, I also received confirmation by email that the parcels had been dropped off there.I will definately use them again rather than the post office in future.

I think Parcel Lockers are Royal Mail. The problem is with the Post Office's system. Two different systems.

Its a royal mail issue, as the same happens if you buy from their website

You could cancel the label and you will eventually get a refund. Then print a diffent label with perhaps T24?

YA delivered 😃

You buy from their website, but then post at the Post Office. The issue is with the PO.

but when your buyer is paying for the label ?

Haha.. Lol

It is a Royal Mail / Post Office issue NOT an ebay issue. Royal Mail changed their Tracked 48 prefix from'TQ' to 'YA' at the weekend but have not updated the databases so Post Offices unable to scan them at present.
I purchased my label through RM Click & Drop this morning not eBay and still would not be accepted at Post Office. Untracked mail will be scanned as normal. Worryingly, an International Order with the usual 'UB' prefix wouldn't scan either.

The 'UB' prefix is a real worry if it didn't scan. Could be the problem is getting worse with the data stream into the Horizon system

Just tried to speak with eBay after having this issue, not interested and got quite rude when I was trying to explain, simple delivery was introduced by them so why the not willing to get involved and find a helpful solution, still allowing people to purchase and print labels through eBay seems ridiculous not even a warning about there may be some issues or delays if using Royal Mail, was thanked for being a member for 24 years though, but that counts for nothing when treated like this. EBay sort yourself out before you loose all sellers / buyers
