I bought a track48 label through eBay and this morning a nice lady at the Post Office said that track48 with the YA number is not accepted and that I should contact the seller. does anyone have a similar problem? did ebay uk sell me a fake label?

Still a problem Monday late morning.
Luckily my post office accepted the parcel (48 tracked bought via RM website) and gave me a handwritten proof of posting. Just hope that the bods that mess around with Horizon sort this mess out before the parcel is due to arrive. Last time RM didn't scan a parcel at the delivery point I wasted almost an hour in total on to EBay CS - buyer confirmed delivery to me and Ebay CS acknowledged this, but they still didn't release funds until 2 weeks after I should have received my £7.95!

Whilst this may not be Ebay's fault. if we weren't saddled with SD we wouldn't be having this conversation. Ebay should have contingency for this eventuality and be able to offer sellers a work-around.
I've had to send an item by paying at the PO but I am not able to edit the tracking number so will probably have to wait weeks to get paid. Add to that my claim for a postage refund on the SD label could also take weeks. I could be forgiven for thinking that Ebay no longer want hobby/private.small sellers.

yeah the problem is still happening. this is patheitc, i have new orders i need to generate a label for and its just going to be the same thing....

I know it costs 30p to collect your item, but it seems to get scanned if your post office wont scan them

Almost certainly true.

Post office didn't work for me, but someone said they used royal mail locker. I've just been and it worked for me as well, but i printed my own label. Ebay now says parcel dropped off at locker. 👍

Quite likely true. If the package doesn't scan, they don't get paid.

If we have to wait until the Post Office sort this out then we will have complaints about purchases not arriving on time. If we don't use the simple delivery label then the price paid by the buyer is refund to the buyer and we end up, as the seller, paying for the postage costs. ?

How do the lockers work? If I take my parcels there do I still get a PoF receipt and are they accepting the parcels that the PO are refusing?

After lugging a huge parcel to the post office this morning, only for it to be rejected.
Royal Mail said it's an Ebay problem, and they will provide a new label.
Not quite the case! Ebay on the phone refuse to send out new labels, they would make my case a high priority and I should try again after 48 hrs.
Such a terrible service!

I was told the same by Royal Mail
Ebay refused to issue new labels!

I have just dropped off the same 3 parcels which I tried post this morning at 7.30 am which where refused . Post offices are now been given a fix so they can now except them . I was issued with a receipt including 3 tracking numbers , so everybody should now not have a problem posting there parcels .
I have also have just checked my Ebay sold page and will confirm the tracking details have been updated to confirm the post office has been able to except them .

I'm not surprised Ebay refused. What good would a new label do? Either it has the same tracking number on it that won't scan at the Post Office, or Royal Mail issue a new tracking number to Ebay which will have a YA prefix that ... won't scan at the Post Office.
I suspect some people at post offices are assuming the problem is a corrupted label. We know it isn't.
One fix would be for Royal Mail to temporarily switch back to TQ tracking numbers until the YA issue is fixed.

Exactly. Members were on here yesterday and last night discussing it and helping each other find a solution with no input from eBay at all.
eBay late to the party as per ...........................

I tried to drop off six parcels at a post office at 8.30am today 4th August, all items scanned and not valid on all of them so they could not accept.
I then went to a Parcel Locker, something I have never used before. It was really simple to use and all parcels scanned and accepted. I have received emails confirming my drop off of the six parcels as you have to enter your email address to receive a confirmation email that parcel has been accepted.
I hope this helps the many people who are struggling with their parcels
here is a link about the postal lockers

The first thing I did after dropping of my parcels at the PO (scanning issue) on Saturday was to come on to this Community to see whether it was a general issue. I, in general, AVIOD contacting eBay / Royal Mail for advice as I find the answers misleading and running on a general script to the extent I have to ask whether they are human or IA 😮

I dropped 9 parcels off this am. Asked for and got Proof of Postage for each one. The tracking is getting picked up at the Royal Mail hub, the problem is just with the PO's system. Also messaged all 9 buyers to let them know the sitution in case they think I haven't posted their items. Fingers crossed.
