Option to send invoices disappeared

Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.

I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo. 

anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

Same here i've never had immediate payment either. Request total can only be done on a computer it's been like that before all this started so i have been doing postage refunds for a long time. Recently had a buyer asked to combine so i took the items off and listed as one lot for him, 1 x75p and correct postage

It will take time it's a quiet place but knowing i will have to leave here as it's seems there is no longer any hope that things will revert to normal it's worth a try and like you say if enough of us go there it will not be so quiet 😁

I know it's only 75p but if enough do it it's more money into ebay's coffers.

Like many others on here am now looking into other platforms,anything must be better than this.

I'm on a computer and haven't been able to send an invoice for over a month, buyer coudln't request total either so i just stopped selling, not worth the stress.

On seller hub, immediate payment on BINs is right underneath the price.

That’s a good point re the buyers fee being the problem 

and not the combined postage

but the buyers know that the fee is included in final price 

it’s not  combined fees that’s the issue, it’s combined shipping 

not sure what the problem with eBay is 

now I’m confusing myself

With simple delivery Im not sure

one example is there is no option to chose  a up to 5kg parcel with RM

it quotes you for a 15kg one, (jumps from up to 2kg to up to 15kg) just over £10 when it should be 6.65 or something 

it’s probably just a Co  ck up though

Ah I don't use simply delivery I click the custom one where you can choose yourself and edit amount

They're planning to make simple delivery mandatory fyi, this whole invoice mess up is conflicting with that plan of theirs.

Yes you're right but you can change it back to whatever you wish at the listing stage...Lot of messing about though as usual with ebay.

The issue is that you can't combine shipping. The reason why we can't do this seems to be a national secret as Ebay are staying silent. My thoughts are, their new BPF has somehow messed up their invoicing system. it works fine for one item, but someone somewhere probably hasn't programmed it if someone buys more than one item.  I doubt we'll never find out - they don't seem to want to admit they've messed up. Meanwhile the site starting with V and Ebid will be getting a few listings from me.

The only thing that might work is specifying flat postage rate in preferences then discounting additional orders by that amount (so all other items are free postage) IF what you sell you can send in a small parcel say without it getting too heavy and someone doesn’t order like twenty or something lol

for example

one dress to post is 3.39 tracked 24

you can probably get another 2/3 or a few tops/ a skirt etc etc in there depending on weight

or if you sell records probably can do this 

Dunno, not satisfactory but anything’s worth a try if it might work in this ridiculous mess

ebay seem to think people have enough money to pay 5 lots of postage on top of their purchases ..it’s ok cos they’ll be refunded, well it’s not ok

That's the problem. There's no way to discount the postage to the buyer. I've tried adding the correct postage. I've tried doing it as a discount. I've tried every option in combined purchase, nothing works.

Sadly I think we have tried everything possible to combine the postage.   Until EBay fix this we are stuck with it.   If we could combine postage the buyers protection would be affected and EBay would get less.   I don’t think this will change.   I imagine a lot of sellers are leaving EBay     My sales are non existent.

yes its sad - just cancel and make sure any buyers effected know where the root cause lies - with ebay 100%.

They could have worked a fix to this problem if they wished to in a couple of days - tells volumes about the platforms attitude to the users.

Vinted is just more of the same have to buy their label, tracked postage only, no use if selling low value collectables, putting postcards and stamps into their listings won't make me go there

If you opt out of one of the 2 options in simple delivery they will charge more to the buyer for the one that you allow. ie RM small parcel £3.39 i think they will charge £4.37 forgot the exact figures now. Also they will probably have a deal with the 2 carriers for  a bulk purchase discount when they charge the buyer the normal price. 

We can opt out now but for how much longer 

I have also seen that the ceo said that postage is another way of getting revenue.
