Option to send invoices disappeared

Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.

I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo. 

anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

I can still choose my own postage I think I read somewhere that if it's under a certain amount you can customise postage

Some sellers *cannot* opt out of S.D! 

S.D. will become compulsory for all private sellers , once ebay manage it.

(It's being rolled out in a very 'lumpy' fashion with some sellers and some categories *in,* and some *out*..... ebay are determined that it'll be 'all in' in the end....🙁)

Ebay making a total dogs-dinners of the whole 'rolling-out' thing, is what's going on!

 All the mixed messages and missed dates and confused answers from ebay staff are keeping a little misplaced hope alive in me, and I'm sure in many others.

That tiny little flicker of hope is bound to be crushed, once ebay sort their s**t out, and I just wish they'd flippin' well get it over with......

You can’t price a light item that goes in an envelope in custom delivery for 1st or 2nd class postage…it disappears your delivery choices 

been broken for days on end 

It allows special delivery though!

these  are the basics 

something’s gone wrong IMO when they changed the way letter/large letter was displayed …it’s in one of the announcements ..been happening since last week

so if you want to send a postcard for 87p you can only do it if you chose padded envelope , then have to faff and edit the postage cost 

im sure it will be alright on the night though…whenever that is

Why do you need to tell ebay what type of envelope your using if the price is correct

There all ways was a option to opt out of sd when listing item by clicking on advance and select the custom box started about week after sd came on line

You are late to the party !

This has been an issue for a very long time. eBay say they are aware of the issue and working on it,  but they're sure taking their time over this one!

eBay suggest buyers buy all items,  and then the seller makes a partial refund for the excess postage paid.

Not ideal,  I know.

Some members have started putting a note on their items,  stating anyone wishing to buy multiple items to let them know first,  the items will be delisted,  and relisted as one listing,  therefore one postage cost.

Hmm not aware of that yet . when listing item should have section under simple delivery saying advance option click that, select custom box and then you can select your own postage option and price

In an email I had from eBay on 2nd April it says...

Starting from 15 April, Simple Delivery will be the only delivery method available for private sellers when listing most items.

Maybe that hasn't happen yet, I haven't listed anything new for a while, but that suggests, as has been said here before, eBay's long term goal is to make simple delivery the only option for private sellers.

So enjoy these workarounds while they last.

Yeah been a problem for weeks now 

Ebay did give some buyers an instruction but it didnt work

I sold the item to an eBay member in Switzerland. I cannot issue an invoice with additional freight charges.

Cannot issue any invoice. The freight is £27 plus...

I can op out of eBay and send my bank details for a direct payment. This is not the right way but eBay and its AI assistant are no help. I had not much luck with a "human being" about another issue in the past either. After 25 years may be I should give up using them. Old habit die hard.

Can't believe that five months on this has still not been sorted out . The cynic in me thinks Ebay just want to get all the private sellers to go away by making selling as difficult as possible .

 in scheduled listing simple delivery is over riding domestic posage pollicee's that i understand but its also turning off international postage as well after it/ has saved to listing.  buyer won 2  item from usa and i went to send a invoice and this  message came up  - please help --

invoices cannot be sent for items where ebaymanages allor part of the postage these items are excluded from this invoice    --- so cant send a invoice to USA or overseas and buyers cant payIN USA or overseas untill received invoice with postage cost

Simple delivery is  just not working in many ways 😞    To be honest trying to list anything nowadays is a major chore.  For the first time i have listed an item under simple delivery as a trial and keep getting conflicting information......to the point where i just cannot be bothered. 

Its just not consistent too as to what is excluded.    Real gold and silver jewellery......yes

Heavy solid fully hallmarked silver tongs.........nope.

I do not get it.........Silver bangles etc and silver tongs are made of exactly the same metal irrelevant of the category listed in

I have to admit that I have found no problems with the simple delivery ,
contrary to what I imagined before it was introduced .
It has worked well, saved money for the buyers and been simple to operate
.To send items abroad it is necessary to use the EBay shipping system which
saves a lot of hassle .
I did not like the idea of this new system but it has proved to work well
up to now
