Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

thanks ebay - spent half the evening refunding postage as the option to send invoices has gone- and i've had to cacnel one order worth £43.00 as the buyer wouldnt pay without an invoice - good work - not listing anything else until this matter is resolved.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard to put the feature back on
billion dollar company you’d think they’d have sorted it
curious

Would the flat postage rate set up not work for some people
you offer a flat fee say for example 3.39 for tracked 48 Royal Mail small parcel
all purchases by same buyer if they fit size and weight wise would be free postage
you can set this up in seller hub
I suggested this to someone on another thread

EBay is a shambles with this mess.
1) Cant send/amend invoices for multiple purchases.
2) When I combine multiple purchases for buyer, they have to pay "Buyer Protection" fees for each individual item instead of one fee for the entire package. This is a complete Rip-Off.
I've had enough of this shambolic fiasco, so after 24 years I'm transferring to EBid which seems to operate a sensible selling platform

They may argue the bpf is due on all purchases but to not allow combined postage is mad and bad

Did you pay the subscription I haven't read all terms and conditions yet but I will when I get time

They THINK they can control the postage
they can’t control anything
the customers (ie us) will decide

I went for the Plat £70 for life (now i need to live a few more years) took the risk. Don't have to do that silver is free not many listings and only 1 photo but you can upgrade for only 5p a listing to do more, gold has 1 free shop about £10 a month i think. No buyer fee 0-5% seller fee depending which you have, don't attempt to move listings to there i'm just starting again after 21 years. Quiet but may no be for much longer

Someone on the MSE forum posted they removed the pay immediately on their BINs
Don’t know if this might work though

Problem solved.
Thanks for all your comments and feedback. So it was the 'Immediate Payment' setting which was the issue. Obviously don't want to lose that. I already include text offering combined postage, but now I include a message asking Buyers to message me with item numbers/ products. I simply remove the 'Pay Immediately' tick box, the Buyer adds to Basket and the 'Request Total Payment from Seller' option appears straight away. Quick and painless. If they don't proceed to purchase, I just revert the Payment settings back.

Yes I'm also looking in that direction. If enough of us do this they may well start to see a significant uptick in sales volumes in the near future!

I don't have the option for immediate payment on any of my items, and I can't send any invoices. It's not that. It's since Ebay have messed about with the buyers protection. I don't think the system can handle working it our for multiple purchases. Why they've not rolled back to a working version while they fix it I don't know.
