Option to send invoices disappeared

Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.

I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo. 

anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

Wish that was true . When you refund buyer the postage difference. ebay use some of your postage discount [which is not part of bpf ]as part of the item reduction to reduce bpf. 1 believe . which i think is not right is this true ? If iam sending postage discount it shouldnt be postage discount 40% rest item reduction .. it should be postage discount has any one else not noticed this

you have to wait till buyer pays [ can still tell buyer it ebay problem ] and if postage to much refund difference

or save all the faffing around and simply cancel the sale, making sure the problem is of  ebays making , and it MAY be resolved in 90 days as CS was allegedly quoting.

this has cost me money as i need to send a revised invoice but cannot, 

buyer does not want to pay for the whole postage which comes to roughly 54 pounds on items of a total price of 22 pounds, and why should he, so they are just sitting in limbo at the moment,

dont know what else i can do and this effects you as a seller,

Your only other option is to relist the whole set of items together as one lot with one postage cost and ask your buyer to complete that sale instead, and cancel all the existing lots. Cr*p I know, but there's no other way of doing it currently (and I believe ebay agents have suggested this as a work-round so it's sort of 'approved')

They did approve that. I asked specifically regarding that workaround as it does fall under the new terms and conditions regarding circumventing BPF fees. Think it was Marco that okayed it. Question and answer are in one of these threads.

As stated in many posts I am asking Buyers to pay in full all purchases and
then as soon as payment is received I refund the extra postage they
included. This all relies on the Buyer trusting the Seller of course. Two
problems (1) The refund is taken from your "pot" straight away (left me
with £0.87 the other day) and (2) Sellers' payment does not clear for up to
two weeks unless items go tracked.

Just in case you don't know, the next step from your available funds will probably be your linked bank account.

I haven't seen a single example of them using held funds for refund/postage purposes from the same sale yet. 

In my opinion the best workaround for both buyer and seller is relisting everything they want in a single listing. Guarantees the buyer only pays one 75p fee and one set of postage and the seller doesn't need to worry about where refunds are coming from either.

Only thing they have to front is post.

Exactly my £20 postage refunds this week taken from available balance leaving minus £3.09. Yesterday i was lucky a buyer asked if i could combine 9 items so i took them off and listed as one lot with correct postage. There is also the problem of does one of us get a strike for cancelling?  I need to buy an aquarium tube and only one person has one and it's here on Ebay but i refuse to buy while they are holding my money so will look for an alternative elsewhere

I think this situation with the postage is a ridiculous.    What I am having to make sure of which never use to, is that on my now few sales I have the money to refund the postage before the buyers payment is in my account.     EBay are holding onto the sales money for so long until the item they think it has arrived.   Is this legal?  
All my items go second class Royal Mail.     The buyer doesn’t need Buyers Protection on a £1 item.  Surely on more expensive items sell with postage tracking would still be cheaper.     I do not need Buyers Protection, it should be optional.  
I want to withdraw all funds at the end of this tax year just to know where I stand going forward.   I will have to leave some money to cover postage if I do get any sales.

Moving forward I have decided the only way I can continue is to group my lots to save the buyer the unreasonable cost of Buyers Protection.     EBay need to sort this out.   Just saying we are fixing it does not ring true.   When exactly will it be fixed?

This situation is affecting everyone badly - sellers and buyers. Don't Ebay
care about this? Surely it will affect their reputation and people will be
leaving and going elsewhere. Perhaps someone should be highlighting what
Ebay are doing, and the possible illegality of their new ways of working,
to the national press!
