AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I'm waiting until the 15th when this SD is officially Rolled Out and is made mandatory. There must be thousands of sellers, who don't know, and have never heard what this SD is? They will, when they come to list their items and find out what the postage costs are and what rigmarole is involved in posting their items.

I have a message it's free to sell ,not about a long weekend though and when I click on the highlighted words free to sell it just takes me to same page

We were talking to 2 guys in town this morning who we know sell on ebay and they hadn't a clue about SD really took them by surprise .

Eve williams has just been promoted too with in ebay .

Well, I've just changed all my items above 100g (don't have anything over £10!!!) to collection only, left others under 100g/ £10 for now, but they are LL. Wait to see what other surprises eBay have for us on 21st April about the letter/large letter separation. Can't be good news!!!

There is talk of USA hitting a recession , broader market concerns regarding a potential U.S. recession, driven by factors such as tariffs, are prompting a widespread sell-off. This market volatility raises concerns about eBay's future performance.

Bye eBay, Simple Delivery is not SIMPLE!!

If Ebay weren't so brainless they would be keeping their Private Sellers on side as its a market that will thrive under a recession especially in new consumer goods go up in price , which they will given tariffs etc.
This what happens when let idiots run companies or countries or anything where they really need adult supervision

What is required to really make fleecebay take notice at least is for all private sellers to pull all their sales and to stop buying for at least a week from midnight when it STD because compulsory , then they might, might just take notice , especially if the press was to get hold of it. Unfortunately this is not something that is likely to happen.

So I would normally post something and would cost £ 2.00
Fleece bay state " Ship confidently & easily with Simple Delivery Starting from 15 April, Simple Delivery will be the only delivery method available for private sellers when listing most items. It’s designed to reduce the effort that shipping takes and offers 20% off postage costs, on average*"
., their price would be £ 2.70 so how is that 20 % Cheaper !! even on average they could get no where near £ 2.00

Does the statement that RM will accept oversize parcels actually mean these are acceptable at RM depots and sorting offices.
NOT POST OFFICE COUNTERS

I definitely think there would be a market for a site that just caters for private sellers selling collectables, home made items and downsizing items - not businesses. In other words, an online car boot sale. How about calling it eBoot??!! However, I think a lot of us would prefer a final selling fee rather than a monthly fee as some of my items have literally been on for years! They do sell eventually, it's just that they are rather niche. (I sell inherited vintage items or stuff related to hobbies I no longer have). I'm not in it for the money, I just get pleasure knowing that items get matched with someone who really wants them.

Pulled mine a month ago and not bought on here since 27/12. What i would have spent with business sellers i have found elsewhere

How can you by pass it now it is mandatory from the 15th? People are saying that you can no longer see the buyer's address. I've looked at the new listing process and it looks like even if you choose free delivery you still have to purchase postage/delivery through ebay. I have spoken to CS about this and they have confirmed that there is no way to by pass Simple delivery. All listings that currently do not have Simple Delivery are being migrated onto it from the 7th April. I would be interested though if you can let me know the steps of how to by-pass it. Although if there is a loop hole/work around I'm sure they will be working hard to close it!

I've had 7 sales this weekend (mind blown), although I've been regularly massaging the prices weeks since the changes. Sold items are nowhere near historic sold prices. Fortunately they're all still custom postage/free delivery.
I'm same day despatch but wonder if it crossed into the 15th if I'd struggle to buy the postage label I need.
