Well finally after changing the format of their selling platform it seems every couple of weeks you have come up with the ultimate level of stupidity with this latest total ridiculous set of changes. Nobody is going to wait what could be weeks to be paid for a item they have sold who ever dreamt up this idea much be so far from reality as needing to push every part time seller off the site. I knew when they came up with the idea of free selling it wouldn’t be long before the idiots that run eBay came up with totally and ridiculous idea to claw back the money they have lost the whole senior management team at EBay must seat round a table all wearing clown costumes saying what is the most stupid idea we can come with to really get rid of half of our customers and the biggest clown wins with this idea and all the other yes people follow. Well I had started selling a few bits again but never again and will not be using EBay again to sell anything it has become a total joke of a company I hope your poor and flawed decisions finally catch up with this once great place to buy and sell has become a total joke.

ebay have just locked in fat commisions from simply delivery, and restored
their fees, buyer protection.

Ebay's 'bottom-line' will not reflect your boycott. if anything, the
increased profits, on reduced volume, will turn them on, all the more.

I recall that some years ago the ebay community posts were referred to as "just noise" by a certain John Donahoe. So he at least couldn't have given a monkey's what you or I think. The lack of staff responses on these forums are an indication that nothing has changed.

All day it's said the funds have been made available and yet there's nothing there.

Why can't irt alert you once the money has actually cleared, instead of this dysfunctional system ?

Hi, i must be missing something here, because ebay keeps me informed properly, all the time about my funds. I can't complain because after all it's free selling, which for me is really good. Like i say i must be missing something.

Baz I was very interested to read yours and other comments. The most
galling thing is not to be paid once items are sold - I sell often to China
and it can take over 6 weeks to be delivered. Not to mention the now
complex compulsory shipping . Our choices no longer exist. Ebay has
forgotten that their success originated from individual sellers and just
torn up their business plan

Its all very disappointing and I will no longer sell on Ebay after 15 or
more years.

Hi Nola, don't be too hasty about not using ebay, it still has a lot of good things going for it. For me ,free selling is really good. Them not putting your money into your ebay account until it has been delivered is good for the buyer, and when they get the item, and are happy, it goes into your ebay account.
Also, just as an example, i sold some vintage bottles, which were really well wrapped in bubble wrap, but when they arrived they were smashed. The buyer requested a return, but ebay said no need. he got his money back, and i kept mine. I thought wow, thats a good deal. I know it's different for you, but for me, just getting rid of things that i no longer need or want, it's ok.

Greedbay paying out and the seller keeping his dough is all well and good, but wait until the scamming crews cotton on and one sells £400’s worth of bottles for arguments sake, that are really only worth £4 to his mate. His mate then says the items have arrived smashed to smithereens and opens a case, how long will greedbay keep paying out on these obvious scams i wonder??

You call ebay, greedbay, why ? free selling to me is a good thing. Also scammers are all the place, just something we have to be wise to.
If you don't like ebay, don't use it.

I find that quite heartening news.

The 'breakables' /exclusions problem has been bugging me, so to have an example of S.D. working well in those categories is good news 😊

Since the changes I've noticed a huge fall in views of items listed. Any offers received are ludicrous ones half price of the item. 

Buyers are making offers minus the buyer protection fee so if the item was £50 with £3 delivery they make an offer minus however much the buyer protection is so that they would end up paying £53 in total but they seller wouldn't receive £53. Ebay would snaffle the BPF.

Private sellers can't use Ebay effectively anymore.

Needs to be noted that whilst they seem to have streamlined listing and postage,  it does not follow that you get the best deal by any means using the Ebay mailing system, it still pays to make a comparison.

A current pet hate I have is the  landing page is akin to a spreadsheet compared to a pre update when it was so very simplified.

Buyer has left positive feedback and yet I'm still waiting.
