BPF … NOT FOR SELLER OR BUYER.

For a little while now, I am surprised that eBay didn’t reintroduce a sellers fee on sold items  when they did away with free selling fees.

There are so many things wrong with BPF.

Just a couple of examples are … there has always been protection for buyers especially as eBay 99% of the time came down on their side and proof of posting was readily obtainable from Post Office outlets.

An auction starting at or buy it now price is very odd to the buyer when you see £6.13 or £15.79 (included BFP). This is most certainly off putting as it doesn’t give an ACTUAL starting value of the item.

SD = That’s another subject for another day !!!!

BPF … NOT FOR SELLER OR BUYER.

But buyer protection fee is nothing to do with refunds, which is the money back guarantee. It is nothing more than a fee to cover eBay’s costs associated with the  process of listing and fulfilling the transaction between buyer and seller (and of course for them to make a profit)

its poorly named and yes I’d agree it’s a conversion blocker though.
