Proving delivery to GSP address in the UK

Hi there

Has anyone else experienced difficulty with customer service in issuing refunds where items have been delivered to the GSP depot in the UK but not to the actual country the buyer is in?

Ebay issued refund to buyer despite me uploading UK tracking to the order details confirming delivery to GSP depot.

It's happened before and they've simply checked the UK tracking and then issue me with a refund too.

This time I'm having to show proof of posting, proof that eBay issued a refund etc

Seems a bit like overkill when the error is theirs to begin with.

Generally speaking: You're right that the Global Shipping Program (or any international postage option) is only as good as the postal service in the partner country. This is probably why GSP does what you first experienced for lost items when tracking shows they made it to the UK depot... refund the Buyer but not out of your funds (you keep the sale price). Even for items that are not as described, they may do this. But if you read the T&Cs it is at eBay's discretion. Sometimes GSP asks for the return of an item, or further proof of posting.

Does that general answer help your query, or do you have further details about what eBay is requesting that might clarify your specific question?
