Postage options arent there

I don't understand why ebay thinks its acceptable to just put under postage standard delivery and express delivery as a buyer shouldn't we be able to choose what service we want delivering to us!! It isn't difficult is should say royal mail or evri it's not hard then we could pick which shipping option we want as I can clearly say when evri couriers think its acceptable to leave parcels outside in a public place without knocking or calling the buzzer to say the parcel is here then taking a photo and leaving they aren't going to miraculously stay they they are going to get stolen which they do! I do not want to have anything to sent to me with evri anymore due to this and I can't choose evri or royal mail because its not an option it doesn't even come up we have to guess which service express or standard is which delivery company we aren't mind readers!! This should be made way better especially for people who have lazy evri couriers who can't be bothered to do their job properly!! Sort it out ebay

Yes, Buyers want to be able to choose the exact Courier to try and avoid bad experiences like yours. @punkwroc77 just raised the same issue if you want to read her post and Seller responses to it.

As private sellers, we also want to be able to choose what courier we use.  But Simple Delivery takes the choice away from sellers and is mandatory.   There is only the choice of Evri or Royal Mail although you can exclude one or the other.  However, some sellers have excluded Evri, only to find that Simple Delivery overrides that choice at point of sale.   We are also forced to dispatch within 2 days even though people may have jobs and family commitments.

Like many private sellers, I am no longer selling as a result of these changes, and because I don't want to use Evri, I won't buy any more either.
