iPhone faulty after 2 months

Hi! I wondered if you had any ideas of what to do?

I bought an iPhone from a private seller and the charging was a bit off - it didn’t work with my charger but I thought maybe the cable was bad so I messaged the seller about 2 weeks after purchase, he said there were no issues so I bought another cable (an anker) and it worked abit better for 1 month.

Now it barely charges (only on certain positions and if I don’t move it) but at two months it’s too late for buyer protection. The seller says he has no issues with it which is hard to believe but at this point is there anything I can do?

thanks for any ideas !
