I brought a hob in August as I was having an extension and a new kitchen fitted. This weekend the hob has been fitted (by a qualified electrician) and it does not work. I have contacted hotpoint and given them the code that flashes up and they say that there’s an issue with the circuit board. I have contacted the seller and requested to return the item and gain a refund. The seller has said that as it is 3 months since I purchased the item he is not prepared to do this. This is my first exeperience as a seller. Selling a £200+ phone.  Account made in 2005 with over 50 reciews as a buyer. Here's what happened. Buyer told me it's a gift for their grandson. Apparantly in West Africa. Perfect English, which made me second guess it. Apparantly the eBay buying system doesn't work for her. The buyer is requesting my PayPal email. They gave me their personal email (which apparantly breaches eBay policies). They also offer £200 over the price, which is plain ridiculous. Researched it, and it seems to be a scam. Which shocked me. But how do I stop this person bidding at the end, and spoiling my entire bid? What shall I do?! I want this person banned, I mean, what a scumbag thing to try and do. Thanks. ... He advertised a sewing machine for sale. eBay asked him for his PayPal details , which he provided. He then got this message We have reviewed the activity we have seen connected to your account. Please can anyone advise me.   I sold a vintage blanket to a buyer in Germany. The blanket looked immaculate and the photos confirm this. It had no odour either.   The buyer has requested a return, saying she washed the blanket in the bath and it now smells of chemicals which are making her ill.   I messaged her to say I cannot accept a return on an item she has somehow damaged. I am awaiting her reply.   She hasn't asked ebay to step in yet but I know they favour buyers over sellers!   What are my rights in this case?   Would I have to pay return postage from Germany if I have to accept the return?   Should I ask ebay to step in now and make a decision or should I wait and see what happens?    Any advice would be gratefully received.   ...
