eBay

Hi im after some advice on where i stand with a recent sale. I had a bike listed with 2 postage options one without insurance and one with insurance. A guy messaged asking if i could drop the price a bit so i agreed to offer free postage which he accepted. Bike was picked up and went on its way. A few days later it still hadnt arrived i checked the tracking and it was at the main delivery depot where it stayed for a few days due to an admin error with the original collection. After almost a week of back and fore with the buyer and the delivery company it was finaly out for delivery today. I have checked the tracking which shows that it was delivered today at 1.26 and signed for by the customers surname. The buyer says that it hasnt arrived as he has been in all day. He said he has contacted the delivery company and the van was in his street at that time but nowhere near his house. I feel something fishy is going on with the delivery company. Where do i stand if the buyer puts in a claim against me. I have all the proof of bookings payment and tracking that shows its delivered. Sorry if its a bit long ☺️ ... View more

I had purchased an item which went missing in the post, the seller has already refunded me,, the item arrived today so I wish to return it as it's not as described and seems fake, this was agreed by the selller, I've put a request into Hermes to send back to the address it was sent from only for the seller to now provide a different address entirely, what do I do as I've already paid for the Hermes, I thought there was a requirement to have your correct address on eBay?!  ... Does anyone know why when i try to ad my bank account info it is directing me to servers down and this is going on from January..i have contacted ebay numerous times but I didn't received any help , how can I update my info for manageed payments? There seems to be no info about complaining about a seller who breaches rules by pretending to have an item that is actually non existing, taking your money and avoiding refunds. Not helpful when ebay tell you your item isn't covered by their guarantees. How do they get reported and removed? ... View more

 Hermes again, I have had a message from a my buyer, The item I sent was delivered and left behind a bin right near the door at 10.30 am  the item could be seen from the pavement about 25 ft away, the buyer didn't return until 6pm and they are claiming the  parcel has been stolen, Hermes have provided photographic evidence  of it, In fairness  they have been in touch with Hermes and had a reply stating they need to contact the retailer for a replacement or refund , I am a private seller and the goods are not replaceable,  mid it my duty to claim on the basis the courier left the item in an unsafe location, Am I required to refund my buyer or not, Any recommendations appreciated  Kind regards phil    ... Understand now why it is so difficult to contact eBay.  Have been sending them messages for over 3 weeks to fix a second technical issue ( another issue wasn't resolved) - haven't been able to leave feedback for any customer who buys more than 2 items from me. hi has anyone any ideas - i send all my cds out 1st class signed for by Royal Mail ( its the only convenient option) - i am getting many claims through for item not received - the tracking system shows this as well!   However of the last  approximately 100 items i have posted within the UK only about 70 per cent show scanned at delivery - of the others i have had 20  postive feedback from honest buyers even though it doesnt show delivered - i have had 7 claims!   does anyone know if the barcode tracking is different to the QR ( square box scanning)  - i know my postmas scans my deliveries - but if he is off i have had tracked items not scanned!   The Royal Mail really need to insist on posties scanning - i am sure most are but some are not.  if you try to contact them about this the phone line is never answered - the email system is not replied to unless you file a claim.   its costs me a fortune and nearly going out of business!!!     ... I purchased an item on 3rd July,   realising about an hour later I had ordered the wrong size so messaged the seller to ask to cancel, I then receved a message back from the seller a few hours later saying "no problem Its been cancelled." I was waiting for my refund, but have not had it, but received a message yesterday from eBay  (6 days later (not Seller) saying too late now to cancel, I have tried to find a number or email address but have not managed to find anything, none of the options apply to my situation, What can I do? You sell a large item and its cash on collection. When the item has been collected I mark the item as paid and dispatched (Ive read the advice on similar posts on here!) But ...  now that Ebay dont collect the money at month end and Ive been paid cash - how does Ebay get its 'fee' money'? I've hunted all over Ebay and I cant find it mentioned anywhere. I'm on managed payments, and apart from not really knowing what the final cost will be til I get a 'pay out' I dont have any real concerns. Can any one  explain to me  how to contact ebay with out going through a minefield.. I am 77 years old and not at one with the  superfluous amount and mostly unnecessary information, let alone know what they are asking. ebay is holding back funds for something which I sold ,  saying that I have not posted it,  I do have proof of postage from the Post Office.   Any one who can help  would be on  my forever gratefull list                                             Regards Robbie ...
