Someone in the UK has opened an eBay account using my email address - don't know how that is possible, but there it is. I have no idea who this person is, nor do I care. I only want to close the account, but ebay does not have any way to contact them except for by phone - and they are asking me to call the UK. I sold a used external hard drive which i formatted to APFS.  I did not disclose what format it was.  Sold to buyer who was unable to connect to it with a PC.  The drive is not faulty just i didnt format it to EXFAT.  Who is in the wrong here?  The hard drive is fully working just wrong format. ... I ordered two white boards on Ebay. When they arrived one was damaged and I returned it and received a refund. The second whiteboard broke and injured my husband the first time we tried to use it. I tried to return it but because I had already returned part of the order, I could not open a new return request. The seller is not helpful, they are offering me a partial refund and asking me to keep the item. I have told them I do not want to keep the item and they told me to open a new return request. I am going around in circles and can't get any help. I've tried contacting Ebay via email but the email is rejected because they say I am using an incorrect order number, which I am not.  Does anyone know how I can resolve this please?  ... View more

I'm trying to set up to sell on a business account and the phone verification has failed but there is no further details, i now can't now get past this stage. I received the verification text ok and entered this but then nothing happend to the account to proceed. A then tried the phone me option, i received the call but then it came up with "phone verification failed"   I'm wondering if the issue is because i need a seperate phone for my private and business account?   The business account isn't new but selling on it is new.   thanks ... eBay is telling me my buying limit is reached and that to extend it I need to receive a pin on the mobile number registered with them and send that pin back to them. This is obviously a verification mechanism. The problem is that I'm overseas at the moment (probably why they are asking for verification) and have my phone switched off. Before buying, I ask sellers if they will send to Spain - or I check the listing and confirm that there is a rate set for Spain. I buy a lot from the UK and normally this system works fine - However...  Three times in the last week - having done this - I have gone to pay and the listing has said that the seller doesn't sell outside the UK... But the sellers do - and they are as confused as I am. Mainland Spain is a country covered by GSP - so it shouldn't be that - but there seems to be a tick box on EVERY listing that requires International Sellers to say that yes - they will sell Internationally for this item...  if that isn't ticked then overseas buyers can't add their address when paying. I would really love to have a screenshot of that box on the listing and/ or where it is located - not least so that when I start selling, I can tick it - but also to help the sellers that I deal with to get their listings straight, so I can buy from them, without lengthy correspondence and much head scratching by everyone concerned - Thank you ...
