Folks, I made an offer of £40 on a £49 item and the seller accepted the offer (within less than 3 hours) but clicking the the "Complete purchase" button in the ebay email takes me to my ebay purchase history with the item listed under Unpaid Items. Note that free postage is included (from China). The only option I have to continue the process is to select "Request total" which takes me to an order details page indicating I have committed to buying the item, allowing me to enter a message to the seller and then submit. Information on this page implies I am messaging to adjust the price, need to wait for the seller to email a fresh invoice and then pay. I don't want to do any of this, I am happy to pay the accepted offer of £40 but can't! I have found that if I click on the item in the Unpaid list, it redirects back to the item listing where I also notice that when I originally made the offer it was for the last item, however viewing this page inidicates the item has been updated by the seller and it is still displayed as the last one, so that is raising flags! Anyway there is also a header message on this item page indicating offer acceptance at £40 and a "Pay now" button. Now if I click this button it does take me to the checkout payment page but the item price is £48 (with free postage), which I am not going to pay. I have sent the seller a message requesting clarification of what is going on. There is not an option to cancel the order as it seems the acceptance of the offer has tied me in, not that I want to as I'm happy to pay the accepted price but not the higher price shown at the checkout. I know this is a seller in China so suspicions are higher but the seller does have 99.2 % positive feedback based on 11842 transactions. Anyone familiar with this sort of issue who can offer some assistance? Thanks
