As a student, I was a waitress & worked in factories for various stints on the floor, Worked at head office in The City, part of team instrumental in re-organising BT ready for privatisation. Loved the people I worked with [still friends] but I'd be a menace in an office now as far as technology is concerned :^O
Then children x4, & when youngest started nursery I became an antiques dealer - loved it for 5 years, but stopped when illness struck 😞
I would happily go back to dealing, but not into an office
In practise, I will do some volunteering

what an insight ladies.....:-)
when my illness really took hold i knew then no-one would ever hire me
i did build computers for a while.....before they became dirt cheap,
so i kept my head busy.........doing college courses...
never attended a class
for the last few GCSE's and computer courses i picked up, but i done it through mail.
the tutors where wonderful.......i only attended the exams.
did work for the local charity shop, but only when i was well enough.

Not in chronological order and not including the boring temp jobs.

Manager of a commercial/industrial photography outfit.
Research scientist.
Lecturer in plant sciences.
Now work for a statutory body and absolutely love it. Great people, great money and a boss who brings me fizz and flowers on a regular basis (out of his own pocket too).
Love my boss:-x I am very, very lucky.

Worked from home curtain making.
Now - nowt. I was dead lucky and really enjoyed my working life. My Papa worked in the mill for 50 years and hated every day - I cannot imagine what that felt like, said the best day of his life was the day he retired. They gave him a watch, which, having been to the pub, he threw in the River Cart on the way home 😮 My Granny was raging - said they could have sold it 😐
