I've received an offer with a discount on a watched item. However, having clicked through, the item shows in basket at the original price. I've tried on different devices with the same result. Am I missing something?

I'm presuming that the offer is still live and valid?
Did you put the item in your basket before receiving the offer?
If so, remove it, find the seller's offer and click on the accept offer link in it and that should take you through checkout at the reduced price.

Thanks for your reply but there is no accept offer option. Only "review offer" or "view item". The offer was received in my ebay messages.

Yes, that's right - click Review Offer and you should go through to the item page with the offer price, where you will have options to Accept, Counter or Decline.
If not, contact the seller and ask them to send you a proper offer by the following means

Click on Review Offer. Accept offer is usually in there. But make sure you click Accept Offer and NOT Buy It Now, otherwise you'll end up paying the original price.
Do you not have an offers section on your My eBay page? It's usually at the top. Sometimes, if eBay send out an automatic offer, the seller withdraws it. It might be the case with yours, if it's only visible in your messages.
Definitely try Review Offer first though.

Thank you all, I think Kat was probably correct.

Sorry you missed out.
For future reference, if I you go back into the offer message, to the side of the item photo, you will find the exact date and time that the offer expires/expired. Usually, even though it has expired, the item would still be visible in your "offers" section, above your "watchlist" on My eBay. The only time I've had an item disappear from My eBay, has been when the item has sold; listing has ended before offer expired; or the seller withdrew the offer.
If it looks like the listing ended before the offer expired, you might be able to ask the seller if they'd mind sending another. I'd even give it a go if you just didn't see the offer in time.
