Missing Nectar points since the "Unlinking"

Why oh why did eBay decide to unlink Nectar accounts from eBay accounts? Whilst I can just about live with the fact that I can no longer spend my hard-earned accumulated Nectar points on eBay purchases, what is really frustrating is that since the unlinking it has become necessary to go through the Nectar app or website every time I make a purchase - a thorough nuisance in its own right - and now it seems to be entirely random whether I actually receive any points for my eBay purchases. I used Sainsburys for my main supermarket shop and I mainly spent my points on eBay. It seemed to be a good arrangement and the Nectar relationship meant that I remained loyal to both Sainsburys and eBay.

 

So why change? I now have half a mind to stop using Sainsburys and stop using eBay, meaning that any benefit to eBay, Sainsburys or Nectar that the changed relationship was meant to bring about will have spectacularly backfired.  I'm that fed up with it all. The changed relationship has no benefit to the consumer that I can see.

 

I have missed out on around 1500 Nectar points on eBay since the "Unlinking". I have just been on the Nectar website chatting to someone in the hopes of being awarded my missing points. They seemed to think  that you only get the points if you go through the Nectar and eBay mobile phone apps. Nonsense. It is quite clear from the Nectar website that you can use the link to the eBay website and this is what I have been doing. I don't like using my phone to pay for anything.  They said I need to accept the cookies. Nonsense. I have never been asked for cookies. Yet out of the eight purchases I have made since the "Unlinking" I have only received points for two of them! So there is only a 25% chance of actually receiving Nectar points, even when going via the Nectar website or app. What on earth is going on?

Same here. Made some really large purchases recently using the nectar and eBay app and it's like they're selective with issuing points. It's like they're are putting up barriers now.

Missing Nectar points since the "Unlinking"

Hi, I had thousands of points on nectar card and since they unlinked I have trouble getting in contact with nectar to find out where my points are as I linked a nectar card online to my ebay account and don't know what t e numbers are on the nectar card so I think I've lost all of them and I was buying of ebay for years. Not buying anything from ebay or sainsbury again now Total scam

Missing Nectar points since the "Unlinking"

Like you I am missing lots of points basically going back to early April now. I receive the email confirmation overnight that the points are pending but have had very few 'approved' emails not even when buying from business sellers and/or tracked items with confirmed delivery by ebay.
