excuse the dumb question but I have had several bidded items cancelled despite paying them in advance, the sellers each asked me for proof of payment despite bidding on them. one item imparticular is quite rare and im very interested in it, i know my rights as a buyer to not give into their demands for another payment but it feels like theyre either scared to keep owning the item or they do not want it anyway but wont ship it until i give them extra? i try to avoid bidding on items for this reason but these past few bidded items i really desired to own or wear. i even paid for it before they made it into a bid and i was the only bidder on this one item now suddenly im being asked to pay again??? it feels like a trick question tbh for the dramatic effect yet i dont get why i cant just own it already since google seems to say u have bought the item when u have won it? anyone else had this issue lately? I had someone snitch at me in the messages just because I wouldnt give them an extra payment.

and then they blocked me for it so i have no access to purchasing from them again. despite being polite originally my patience was quite thin with this issue occuring again.

Placing a bid is not making a payment.
If it is an auction item you place a bid, you get a message either saying you have been outbid or you have won the item, then, if you won, you get an invoice and then you have to pay.

@jckl1957 is right. You seem to be making a basic mistake. Your most recent Feedback says 'Buyer never paid' so obviously they wanted to sell to you.
This type of feedback is called a 'false positive' and you can ask eBay to remove it, if you wish.
The Seller who wasn't paid can choose to block you. eBay can't force them to sell to you. You will have to try to find another Seller who has what you want. Just make sure to pay them on time!

i paid for the item and the items were switched. this forum is as wonky and unhelpful as reddit.

The people responding on here are just other users - and cannot see your account e.g. bids/wins/payments.
I suggest you contact customer services who can see that kind of info. See

They (may or) may not be able to do anything about items which have already been cancelled, but hopefully they can intervene, if there are issues/queries, when you win items in the future.
