Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Hi,

I recently bought an item on the 16th January 2023 which was supposed to be located in ilford Essex from an Ebay seller. When the item hadn't arrived 2 weeks after the purchase date I contacted the seller to report that item hadn't arrived and the Aquiline tracking number they had posted  on Ebay showed the item was  still in transit so presumably had been lost i posted a screenshot of the tracking info as proof and said i would like a refund. The seller replied apologies for me not receiving they would check with the courier, fast forward to the next day and the seller replied stating delivery was made on the 19th January, and when I checked the tracker had been updated

I had never heard of AQUILINE so I tried a few different websites to try and track my item and they all showed my item originated in the USA and was destined for the USA which in itself was odd because I live in the UK and the item was supposed to be located in ilford. I contacted the seller again and refuted the claim my item was delivered to my address, I asked 3 times for the name of the actual courier service that had delivered the item and proof of delivery either a signature of photo of the item being accepted. The seller totally ignored my requests and just kept posting a link to a website that showed the item as delivered. To cut a long story short,

I then escalated the matter to ebay who asked the seller to contact me which he did but the bog standard replies were the same. The seller then asked ebay to resolve the matter and they closed the case because the item showed as delivered. I then rang customer service to appeal the decision to be told I can't unless I get proof the item wasn't delivered from Aquiline. They have no contact information on the website ???

By this time I was absolutely seething so as I had paid on my credit card I spoke to my bank and explained what had happened and that I had proof the item had never left the USA despite the tracking on Aquilines website showing delivery was made, as I was told I could apply for a charge back through my bank.

I then messaged the seller saying that the whole thing was an absolute scam and they sold me something they had no intention of delivering and I was going to apply for a refund via a charge back with my bank and they could fight it out with my credit card provider.

Lo and behold 2 hours later I have a message from the seller saying they have investigated and the courier delivered to the wrong address and they will refund me !!!!!

So this was obviously a scam

I will be closing my Ebay account as soon as the refund is processed in future I will only buy online through Amazon or other reputable websites because Ebay are allowing sellers to use this AQUILINE to scam their customers. The moral of this is never give up and always pay with a credit card

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

OK, for the purposes of transparency, I found the package outside and wet and not in a safe place. Not in the dry letter box.

It was indeed an Amazon package.

Fortunately it is a water proof item, but the sellers lack of transparency that it was an Amazon delivery, and no help other than saying it was delivered, and no ability to leave feedback about this...

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Be grateful you actually received your order - the vast majority of those "shipped" by Aquiline never appear despite the fake tracking number showing as delivered.

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Lucky you. Ebay have just refused me a refund on the grounds that Aquiline have proved delivery, yet I have been shown no signature, or a photograph of the item being handed over. According to Aquiline's own tracking service the item was allegedly delivered on at 5:41 PM on 2 December 2023. However, the same tracking system states that the shipping label was created at 1:13 PM on Sunday 10 December 2023. How it could have been delivered 8 days before the shipping label was created is beyond me, on top of which I live on my own, and was away from home at both of the times/dates listed, so the property was empty.

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Request a charge back if you paid by card, or contact Paypal if you paid that way. At the same time, email the CEO, request a refund and berate them for their continued negligence and incompetence despite their countless (and clearly empty) promises to act against Aquiline.

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Thought you might like to see this eBay response on 19th Dec to my appeal against a non-refund for an item never received:

I have checked the tracking and as per the tracking history on Aquiline website the item delivered to your address. For your reference, I have provided tracking link below:
https://aquiline-tracking.com/
However, I understand there’s still no sign of this item but there’s still something you can do to get a full refund. It's very much possible the courier might have delivered the item to different address in error so, I strongly recommend contacting Aquiline and ask them for more information about the delivery. Below, I've provided the courier’s contact information.
• Contact them with the tracking number AQUAxxxxxxxxxxxxx and request a “non-delivery document” in form of Email or Letter:
Phone: +1 (318) 814-8859
Email: Support@aquiline-tracking.com
• Once you’ve obtained the letter/email, just upload it here for our review https://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/mudcwf?deptName=UKeBP
Once we have this information within the next 30 days, we can immediately process a refund to your account. For the moment, you can ignore the automated email about the case closure.

I sent an email to Aquiline at once, with a rcvd/read receipt, and have received no response at all, so assume they never read emails or the address is blind. So we'll see how I get on without a “non-delivery document”!

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

Aqualine do not do deliveries. they just give fake tracking numbers so the scam and drop sellers sellers on ebay can have proof they delivered when they dont even post the items.

seen some say they had a delivery but it was only pack of chewing gum just so something was delivered.

having proof of delivery doesnt mean anything unless the photo shows the face of the person recieving the delivery. dropping on on a doorstep and a photo of a package in someone hands does not count as proof of delivery either does tracking numbers. that got clarrfied to me by my local counsiler after my warden looked into a parcel thjat went to thje srong address and shoed the doortstep it was elft at and it weasnt my doorstep. i was told the photo has to show the door number not the doorstep. and has to have a face photo of who they gave it too as by law they r not allowed to just drop it on a doorstep then claim they delivered it.

But a lopt of delivery comnpanies only pay the drivers for completed delivery. if thye have to take it back to thje depot they dont get paid and most use their own vehcile and onw fuel so they just drop undelivered parcels on doorsteps and it mighty not ecehb be thge right home just so they can get paid.

Re: Aquiline tracking scam BEWARE

I had all that twaddle in the early days of this scam. Waste of time contacting CS. This is the correct process:

Request a charge back if you paid by card, or contact Paypal if you paid that way. At the same time, email the CEO, request a refund and berate them for their continued negligence and incompetence despite their countless (and clearly empty) promises to act against Aquiline.

Phone eBay and tell them that there are page after page on their community forum about this company. I did and got my money back. Good luck.
