We have noticed a sudden decline in sales and since last week we are on Zero.
Has anyone else noticed this issue and is this related to any new changes by Ebay.
What happened to our once best selling platform.

Just to say that’s a posting id for the forums that @therenewalworkshopltd has.
Also when eBay announced the the free to sell in October last year, they also announced the introduction of the BPF would be in Q1 at the same time.
I do agree things are a mess at the moment, the beauty of eBay was its simplicity. I’d hope they look at the simple process of listing as it is on Vinted.
And yes I hate the pay to play as well.

I have been selling on Ebay off and on, pretty much since it first started.
So the fact that this account has fairly low feedback etc, means absolutely nothing.
I actually have multiple accounts.
You have literally ignored my response to yours.
You stated "so nothing to do with getting extra fees then! "
It is literally nothing to do with extra fees.
They are a replacement to what was there previously.
And yes, companies can fail, very large ones can.
But making a sweeping statement that Ebay is unlikely to be here in 6 months is beyond the pale.
The only way that you could possibly know that, is if you where on the inside and had access to information that is not generally public. But their accounts do not point in any way to Ebay collapsing.
Now, Ebay started many years ago. Yes, it was different then, it was very much burning the way forward.
Do you really think that without making any changes and staying as it was, it would still be here?
It grew massively by bringing in business sellers.
It added things such as promotions, as virtually every other site has.
Why would Ebay not add those things in, when wherever else you go, they have them?
You do not have to use them. That is your choice.
And no, you don't have to promote to sell things.
Do you not think that maybe they are fighting to keep buyers/sellers etc, due to the massive competition out there now. In other words, the pie has shrunk. That does not however mean that it's going crash tomorrow.
Like every company facing competition, they are going to try and do things differently, to fight that competition. Some things will succeed, others won't.
I personally do not like the BPF, as it is a halfway house. But in itself, over time it will get accepted, simply because the likes of Vinted are doing exactly the same thing.

Your response does highlight that you have limited financial understanding.
You do not need to be inside the boardroom to be able to see when a company is in difficulties, many people in the markets specialize in watching companies and noting which are likely to fail. Whether ebay will fail in six months or not is irrelevant to me I only need it to carry on for that long!
People find it hard to admit things to themselves particularly directors in boardrooms as I have witnessed.
You are right in saying the the market ebay is in has changed, but is it really all ebay wants to be is a clone of Vinted? It can never match Vinted, it can try to match the financial terms but ebay has become to complex and bloated - how can it match Vinted's more simple listing process, it's postage system, its feedback system? It can't.
Instead of leading from the front it is always playing catch up, the inertia in the company means it has become to slow to make changes. It needs to simplify but it wont, and as the number of transactions on the platform shrinks its only method to maintain its income is to find more ways to charge the users hence extra fees.

Sold only 4 items last week.
Very poor sales, they forced me from selling privately to business. I am really not happy at all. Twenty years relationship gone up in smoke. But they don't care.

February & March have both been very odd for sales. It breaks down like this 1 -13 feb (41 sales), 14 feb - 14 march (23 Sales), 15 - 31 march (51 Sales). So I was obviously switched off from 14 feb to 14 march.

The recent changes to the way things work for private sellers with regards buyer protection fees and automated postage are terrible. I'm delighted if I'm honest. I'm a business seller. *shrug*

Don't get too chuffed, there'll be less buyers knocking around on ebay once a whole load of (genuine) private sellers have stopped selling/left.
People like me sold stuff, left the money in ebay, then used it to buy things from other ebay sellers. And on my 'saved seller' list, they were 95% business sellers............

I am completely dumbfounded as to what has happened. From a small but thriving business, generating at least £1000 a month, now down to a few pounds, and this has happened since February 2025. I have tried having a sale across my items, and sending out offers, but still no sales are being generated. Another gripe is, I have noticed an increase in eBay fees, especially around promoted listings, and this overall entitles eBay to Approx 23-27% of any earnings I have, I would not mention fees, if my sales reflected the effort I put into my eBay business, but it all seems so pointless.
