I bought a theatrical lamp from an eBay seller, it has arrived with a power cable fitted that has white asbestos in it. I can't return it, because that would entail it being posted, which would be against most if not all courier and postal service policies on prohibited items, and I suspect illegal too. Claim selling the iPhone mum. I bought a digital copy of a video game from a seller on eBay. I thought it would be a code for a game which people are allowed to sell. Instead, you pay them to give you their login details so you can redownload the video game on their account, onto your device. This is illegal. The item was only up for a couple of days and I messaged them about it and the act that the practice violates and immediately, they seem to have removed the listing.     Why are Chinese allowed to use generic pictures of the items but actual photos of items?? Its misleading!!!!     Example.... If i sell my ford car online i show photos of the car   But what i dont do is go to the Ford website and use there photos of the car im selling    Or if i sell my PC i show photos of my Pc and insides but I dont go and use photos from a website! To sell my phone!   Yet around 80% of Chinese goods use generic photos but not actual photos of that item im selling,  also if your selling a PC then you should show photos of the inside of the PC so customers can check the PC is what it actual is.....   Whrn i buy a car i look under the bonnet i dont just assume all is ok... So why is Ebay different????   Its boarding an offense and against UK trading laws    Thats fraud here in the UK and can result in prosecution!!!     Yet it seem Ebay thinks its fine to do so and im loosing faith in ebay and Chinese knock offs   Why is Ebay allowing crime to be committed    And how does the customer resolve this     GENERIC PHOTOS SHOULD BE BANNED!!!!     ... Hello folks!   My wife has a business in the UK. (Registered ltd at companies house, business premises etc). She currently sells on Etsy and at markets etc. I set up her business account yesterday and i purchased an InkFrog subscription to do her listings.    Link to her etsy just for validity.....   https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/DirectWoodCo   Last night i listed our first item (a wooden hanging shelf) annnnnnd we have been banned?!? We received an email saying our account is permanently suspended, and that it is a final decision?! I am literally flabberghasted??   Has anyone got even the remotest idea of why this would happen? I contacted InkFrog support and their response was equally as shocking! They just said its absolutely nothing to do with them. End Of.   Are InkFrog a fraudulent company and i have made a mistake?! I have just recieved an item that I definitely haven't ordered, from someone that I can't find on ebay. The package had been re-wrapped and the original (open) packaging has been left inside with another address that I assume has recieved this before me. I'm not sure what the next step is and am worried that someone is going to say that I have recieved an item before paying and ask me to pay for this random item that I have recieved.  Does anyone have any advice or has anyone encountered this before? ... eBay pages are missing graphics and have over sized arrows. I have managed to cancel my active listings by going to site map and with a bit of juggling around succeeded.  I am not very technical so am a bit worried this has never happened before. I have downloaded the ap now and that seems to work but cannot access packlink for my remaining sold listing. All other sites amazon etc load just fine. This happens on my iPad and laptop. ... I certain UK seller has been listing paper money with fake overprints (with appalling success) for months/years.    ebay clearly couldn't care less, but then what's new there.    His notes seem to be genuine but the overprints on many are not. And judging from the feedback many people have noticed.    He also has a habit of pretending to post items that didn't get a high enough bid, leaving you to claim the money back when it inevitably doesn't arrive (reading feedback, and personal experience)   And to be clear, the vast majority of sellers on here (personally speaking) have been scrupulously honest.      ... The ebay web-site is not loading properly on my computers. I use Firefox as a browser and it is happening with different operating systems from XP to Win8. I have lost access to the usual quick entry to my watch list page and my selling page.   The normal ebay graphics are all jumbled up.   I haven't chqanged any settings on the computers. eBay was working fine on Friday 6 November.
