Tonight's opinion polls look like Salmond's promise of a marxist state, funded by fruit from the magic money tree, is proving irresistible and the people living in Scotland may well vote to pull the plug.
Quite why they are being allowed to destroy my country - the United Kingdom - is a key question but at least, without Scotland, we wouldn't have many Labour governments in future, so there is a bright side.

Ohhhhh, but they'd want to keep "representatives" in Westminster as well.
They wouldn't want to simply eat their cake, they'd want to keep it too.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

I have voted in every YouGov poll on Independence - up to 3 polls ago (when this massive swing towards Yes took place)
I have no idea why, I don't get to take part anymore
Many NO voters are wondering the same thing
Could it be, that we put our nationality down as British when we first joined ?
YouGov changed their criteria for entry into their Indy polls - 3 polls ago

So many unanswered questions - it's all getting pretty scary now, looks like we might have a King Alex

Ironic isn't it, you've got the EU; who want to lower boarders, create free passage between member states and have an all for one and one for all ethos. You got the Crimea, which wanted to be part of Russia; so was annexed and now the same is wanted by some of the eastern areas of Ukraine. You've got Iraq, which wants to fragment into separate Shia, Suni and Kurd controlled states. Now we've got Scotland, who want to break up one of the most successful unions in modern day history the UNITED Kingdom. I know, in reality, this place is far from united, but throughout its history it has been at its strongest when it has stood together England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.....................do they seriously want the blue removed from the Union Jack Flag.

Scottish Soldiers don't even get a Vote Tommy, unless they are at present resident in Scotland, that means the majority will not be voting, as they presently stay in England, Germany etc etc
----------------------
One thing that should be remembered is that the Scots haven't felt represented in the Government at Westminster, since 1979 New Labour was viewed as Maggie light and the present Tory lot are viewed as the spawn of Maggie - She is that toxic
If you check the polls, everytime Cameron or Osborne open their gubs, the YES vote increases
Even worse every time Cameron crosses the Border, the YES side breakout the Champgne, he's the best campaigner they have, guess who was in Scotland right before the latest poll, yip Toff shady Dave was in Glasgow giving a speach to the CBI, Whoopie Do , sure vote winner there Dave
Miliband is another vote loser, He is branded as a BLiar clone
--------------
BTW,
Before YouGov 'adjusted' the figures (called weighting) the latest Poll, results were
53% NO 47% Yes

It appears they do Evo, so can we not cut along Hadrian's Wall with a pair of sharp scissors, and shove the top bit of the map out into the Atlantic ? We could then wave a fond farewell to the supercilious Salmond and his camp followers.
(With apologies to McB - sort of).

Well, if they vote for independence, there's an awful lot of Union Jack Flags; fluttering all over the Planet, in different places, that will need to be pulled down and scrapped ( no point in having a UNION Flag, with a Country on it that's not part of the union any more ). I've just got this Image, in My head, of Mr. Salmond ( Braveheart Mark.2 ) in a loin cloth, standing on the Battlements of Edinburgh Castle, Arm in the air, shouting "FREEDOM"....................amazing, even in this day and age, what "Suckers" you can make out of People.

Very interesting, Al. The detailed results of the poll show that the main adjustment was for 'social class'. The lower the class, the more likely they are to believe in the magic money-tree that Shrek keeps promising them.
It's all going to end in tears.

He's not the only one. Gordon Brown has had an amazing effect on boosting the 'Yes' vote.
http://order-order.com/2014/09/08/more-evidence-of-jonah-brown-cursing-the-union/
And Miliband, too stupid to realise until now that he is doomed without Scottish votes, is just about to put his foot in it as well ...

The last Stat. I heard today, was that if Scotland votes for independence; Lib. Dems. will lose 1 in 5 of all their MP's and Labour will be less popular than a F**T in a Spacesuit................Cameron & the Conservatives??........well as only 3 people in Scotland vote conservative anyway, they'll be in power until the year 3000.

You'll be alright up there then joe, labour isn't a Party in Scotland.................it's their TRIBE !!

If Scotland leaves, it will cause mayhem in England, most People in Metropolitan areas will no longer, be able to get the form of Government they want, no matter how large the majorities they return
I can see very strong calls going out for Federalism in England so that the Midlands, the NW & NE etc, wanting their own Assemblies, so that their mostly non Tory populace can have control over their own affairs
London will be particularly difficult, with the City at the heart of the SE being mostly Labour with no representation in the corridors of power at Westminster

Yep, it certainly is going to add a lot of complications to life for just about everybody and I'm still not sure whether the end result; will be what people really want, or thought they'd get.

Living in Fife , I am really surpeised by the amount of people who say they are going to vote YES
Up until these last few weeks , i alwasy thought the YES side appealed to all those "scotsman with a greivance types " ,. the ones who may have got refused their £20 note by a London Cabbie , and festered on it ever since .
Likewise the appeal to "end poverty " and "inequality " , strikes me as very fatuous , but off course appeals to those who think they can waive a wand
there are tens of thousand sof immigrants in Scotland who find work no problem , and significantly "make their own work "
Scotland like the UK , has a severe problem with dependency , and the belief thta is youa re skint , you must till your Giro comes , apllly for a hardshop loan , or visit a foodbank
Why not dig your back garden and plant Totties , start a business washing windows , cutting grass , dealing in car parts at the scrap yard , washing cars
Thats what the Immigrants do
Saying that people I know and respect , have told me they are voting YES , these are people who work and take responsibilty , I just cant understand what reaosn is important enough to break up a 300 year Union , a country that stood unflinching when Napoleon dominated Europe , and survived the Two great wars.
Whatever we have to endure today , is a mere trifle compared to that ,
yet if we have bred folk who either dont value this country , or dont have the comprehension to know what they are doing , then it may well be our fate to go down with the ship .
Scottish independnece , will plungs Britian into a crisie
, Sterling will tumble , the stocks will fall , and faced with our enourmosus debts , investors will pull out , it will be just as severe as the crisis in 2008
The Uk will be adding 10% to its debt and , losing 10% of its economy
A weakend UK , will be unable to balance the power in Eruope , and have to give up its world role
It may also cause a General Elction , as how can David Cameron survive the fact he lost t Scotland
persanally i will be gutted if Scotland votes yes
