Hi Al, I see what you mean about the title of that video.
However, I thought Bright Eyes summed things up in the following ways:-
The Bright Eyes are the stars who've passed on this year, they're "following the river of death downstream".
"There's a fog on the horizon" = You can't see or get to know who's next because "nobody seems to know where it (the river of death) goes" And so it goes on...... You can put your own interpretation on some songs that fit in with happenings.

............. and that list isn't complete by the BBC's own list from the Last Word programme alone and it does seem to be a very harrowing year all round.
It is very sad to loose those we grew up with but who have had a good time on this earth and there is a reason why it's not just been a tough year but I think we have to face this being the norm for a while.
What is so devastating is to also lose those who had not been given such a full life-spam and have gone far too early
And then, there are those who I think will never be on any list - those who are just part of the millions who have been slaughtered or died as a result of Syria's massacre of it's own people and terrorist attacks around the world.
There is not a section for Medicine in that list and there should be because many gifted doctors have died in their working with those caught up in violent conflict, as just one other example.
It has certainly been one truly awful year and I wish I could hope that next will be better but I'm struggling to find that hope.

So sad to hear about Peter Sarstedt, singer of 'Where do you go to my lovely'.
As a mother's day prezzie, I took my mum to see a show at the Dominion Theatre in London called 'Heroes and Villains' in the 1980s. It had 22 different acts from the 1960s including the first time that Paul Jones and Mike D'Abo sang together as Manfred Mann, but the act that stole the whole show was Peter Sarstedt with only his guitar and singing that wonderful song.

Today Lord Snowdon passed away and it's worth remembering all that he did achieve and pioneered, especially for the disabled.
