Mott the Hoople - wonderful band live, now Gorden Kaye, lovely man met him in a book shop in Manchester - no one else in the store, he signed my book and appeared such a quiet and gentle man. When I was a child, I always wanted a grandad with a beautiful voice to read me bedtime stories.  James Mason and Vincent Price were my two main choices.  If I was still a child, I would have added John Hurt.

She may have only been famous through her connections but it's still sad to hear of someone dying so young.

1970s singer Peter Skellern who sang 'Your A Lady' and 'Hold On To Love' died today (Friday).  He became a priest last year.
