Yes I read that Ted had passed away. He had become quite a star in his own right especially when Paul & Bob pretended to do his 'voice'. Also two books were written in his name. Ted was a patterdale terrier, a rescue dog, who lived with the shows executive producer. He will be in one final episode in the new series I understand.
