I agree I have a seller who left negative feedback and then claims he didnt receive the item. My PO has huge delays, i have other orders delayed yet the items all arrived. Because its stamped I have no tracking so of course I the seller get shafted. Ebays indian call centre staff might as well just tell me FO thats how much help I got removing the negative feedback from my account. As a consequence I am going to close all my accounts I officially have 4 yet the 2 PayPal accounts. Now I had 40k in goods listed yet another 30k to list, now I will rather create my own seller platform where I do not pay all these fees yet I will feel appreciated as seller which you really do not on ebay and I wont have all the issues associated with ebay no more either.
The fact that you have to suck up with buyers because you know they can just mess you up and have you over is highly annoying.
The postage fees are not detailed enough and how much postage is going to cost so it is not possible to get it right on ebay unless you know all the courriers and their prices.
As a seller you create the ebay market and ebay takes too much off you as a sales commission and you create a lot of traffic for the courriers. After those 2 took a significant chunk and lets be real the postage will bite you in the ass sometime and you have to carry that you then have to sort out the VAT and tax. The way transactions are broken up on ebay you end up doing a lot of work per each transaction and this is time consuming as hell for you books and accounts. Overall its not worth it at all ! Ebay doesnt even thank the seller for making them money, quiet the opposite actually they give the buyers more power !
So if ebay had a customer service department that is allowed to manually remove the illegitamte negative feedback my ebay account received then I would not be deleting the 1500 lisiting and 3 ebay accounts and I would still be selling on ebay despite their 15% - 25% sales comission fees. One buyer claims he did not receive an item and I cannot do anything yet the courrier I paid for a service is responsible yet my ebay account gets bad feedback and I have to refund the buyer. No thank you I much rather sell my products without ebay and Royal Mail profiting from it and me only profiting from it.
So I agree if ebay actually had a human that would help its customers they would make more money but they dont and now lost 15% - 25% on £85.000 so I say good riddance to you american corporation !

So you didn't send it tracked but because everyone else got their parcels your buyer must be lying?
Anyway, good luck with your own platform, it sounds like a positive move away from ebay for you.

Nope was using the stamps RM sent for delays. The buyer never sent a message, after I asked him to remove the feedback and perhaps get in touch with me in future first before pre maturely leaving negative feedback he then got the hump with a "do not tell me what to do" reply and shortly after that he made the claim. After all he knew now there is nothing a seller using stamps to post large letters can do to say it arrived. For me its the principle, you know people do it a lot and its quiet likely he s doing it out of spite because he didn t like it when I asked him to remove the feedback yet the fact that EBAY supports this is unacceptable. I will get my money back its not difficult to sell or buy on accounts and exploit loop holes such as the one mentioned above or I can just add the loss to th same listing and increasing the price of the item by 20% to cover the losses its perfectly legit to rip future customers off so no loss to me.
The fact that I give ebay the money and create its market and then ebay does not support me is enough of a reason not even participate on this platform destroy its membership. They're stealing money of people officially the very least they could do is make your life a little bit easier when they're doing this. They don't so I don't need to help them yet I much rather prefer the money stays on this side of the pond for our people.

I believe if you put stamps on an item, you can still hand it over a post office counter and get a proof of posting.
But I may be wrong, I'm dimly recalling something I did many many years ago.

Yes you can take stamped envelopes to the P.O. to get proof of postage and you can scan the "NEW" QR code of the stamps and write that down yet take a picture of the envelope with address and stamps yet you even take a video of filling the stamped envelope and sealing it but you still can not track it and you certainly will not know if it ever arrived !

At the end of the day it is what it is, he got paid out aka refunded, properly did receive the item and left me negative feedback and I closed 3 ebay accounts, deleted £100k in listings from ebay and closed my Pay Pal as well. Its cheaper to buy a shop and website yet sell the items face to face than pay those 3 companies part of MY MONEY and then they only over complicate the procedure and do not support me ! Not using ebay, Pay Pal and the "courrier" I do not need to over inflate the price of the product in order to get what it costs me for instance given the value of item x and size I have to send it by Parcel Force which will cost £33, the item is sold on ebay for £650 yet it was bought in poland at retail value of €450 aka about £400. Thats 62.5 % price increase, now I can sell it in my shop for €450 without issue in one transaction, no courrier, no intermediate wannabe insecure bank like PP. I could sell the item at £650 making £250 profit or continue with pointless Ebay where I barely would have made £15 profit. If you think about having storage, the place to pack and store packaging, the courriers, packing time, and all other many processes' you do when selling on ebay and then you walk away with £15 on a items sold for £650 yet you make £250 selling it when going to the pub at no extra effort or having your own "place of sale" then you realise how un professional and greedy ebay is. All they have to do is stop negative feedback as your first point of contact, the customer shoud not be allowed to leave negative feedback BEFORE contacting you directly and giving you a chance to know there is a problem yet alone fix it. Fair enough if you buy somethign and the seller does not respond or aid you to resolve it make your claim and leave negative feedback but not contacting the seller and leaving negative feedback should not be allowed ! So again Ebay losts £25k on current stock yet I did just spend a huge amount making wholesale deals across the globe so I am happy to announce that ebay lost 5 figures in commission from me from projected sales for the remainder of 2024 and I wish to thank you for opening my eyes and forcing me to search and buy a unit much earlier than I had planned. I just didn t want the negative feedback on my account and you could have removed it, if a seller leaves me negative feedback and doesn't even tell me the item 'did not arrive "yet" ' that's not acceptable to me, I did everything correct and to a very high standard, listed the order, stored the item, kept it save, sent it with 10 min of the order, packed it very well so and so forth and he never even speaks to me to let me know the item has not arrived so I can then initiate solving the matter. Elmswell Post Office cannot deal with the volume of mail, currently I have yet another 3 items delayed by more than a fortnight sent from the last day my account was active on the 02.09.24 Royal Mail sends me more stamps in compensation than I have used and this matter cannot be improved other than driving 24 miles further to a bigger Post Office or by giving it to the postman and not getting a proof of postage. I have to give stamped letters to my post man when he collects the parcels for them to arrive within 1 day but if i take them to my post office they do not arrive for a minimum of a week (1st class), sometimes 14 days. Thats seriously bad Royal Mail ! But again I dont care its their issue and loss for both of them I am better off and thankful

You are not talking to your seller here, but to other members like youraelf.
On your Purchase History go far right to More Actions, from there message the seller and report your findings, only they can speak to the courier.
Do not let the seller time you out with excuses if they have sent the oder to the wrong address, that is, not the one eBay provided for them on the delivery order, then you can claim a full refund.
Go right of the item purchased, and from More Actions select.... I Have Not Received My Item.
If you are not fully refunded within 3 days, you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case, and eBay will step in and force the refund.
Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give, and do not forget to escalate.
Make sure your delivery address is correct in your eBay account, if the seller has to posted it there, and has tracking to prove this, they will not have to refund you.
Check your address is correct here:

i was sent an email to advise me of a product i bought which now has safety problems. It is impossible to talk to a human, please contact me

We cannot call you we are all members here, like yourself.
Others too, have received similar 'warning emails', and no further explanation to which item is involved, very frustrating.
All I can suggest if you have made several purchases recently, and not sure to which this refers to, is to contact eBay Customer Services, for them to explain further.
The easiest and quickest way to contact Customer Services is through this link, for a Call Back .
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/
On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Weekends lines open between 9 a.m. to 6p.m.
If they cannot provide more information all you're left with, is to contact the manufacturers of recent purchases, ask if their product you purchased has been recalled for safety reasons.

Are you sure this is from an eBay seller?
If you have purchased some recent items from eBay, checkout those sellers, they may just have posted to the wrong buyer.
Click on the seller's listings, then down the left sidebar click on Sold. If you find the item there, send that seller a message that you have received their item in error, for them to send you enough money to cover a fully tracked return postage to return the item back to them.
Do not be fobbed off with sending to the correct buyer, it goes back to the seller.
If this is not the case, and no one else in your household knows of this purchase, google Brushing Scam see if that applies here.
