This has just happened to me ... I didn't know about putting in tracking numbers .. I just sent it next day delivery but they are saying I didn't send it and have took £125.00 out my account which has sent me into spiralling trouble with the bank ... I'm in UC trying raise money to move house and basically EVERY SINGLE sale was in trouble because I didn't know how to work it or the buyer didn't know how to work it ... it's AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

I had a bad purchase from a seller in Bristol, he took my bank transfer, took the car of Ebay the following day, the car not veiwed, was wrongly advertised,  Ebay has let him get away with selling out of Ebay rules, ie. he states he took the car of Ebay before he received payment. I cannot therefore give any feedback, keep filling in complaint forms.  Message from Ebay, problems,  try again later, this has happened four times, does there seem to be any answer to this?

Unfortunately you are on your own because you paid by bank transfer and in any event there's no buyer protection on eBay for vehicles.

 

Speak to CAB.

I recently sold an item on ebay.  The 'postage page' gave the buyer's name, address and telephone number, but when I revisited the postage page I could only see his name and adddress.

I needed to contact him by phone in order to arrange to deliver the item to him as we both live in London.

I contact the robot chat, but it did not understand me so I spoke to an agent to get the phone number.

This is stressful when you no longer see all the buyer's details and an unnessesary omission.  Please amend your website to include all of the buyer's details every time the seller looks up the buyer's details.

There is no complaint procedure for this, there is just the ebay money back guarantee and you are too late to use that if it is more than 30 days from the expected delivery date.

 

You might be able to make a claim through your funding source.

Im too going to ask a question which you all may have had already, but here we go... I purchased a screen upgrade kit from ebay to add to my vintage console. I followed all the instuctions on how to fit the screen, but this involved removing items from the console making it useless without this item. Once all the new bits had been solder in and tested I found there was a fault with the new screen kit. I have spend 5 days trying to contact the seller and getting no answer. Then I speak with ebay and all I get is the item needs to be returned for a full refund, which is lovely but the call handler does not understand that to do this it will involve unsoldering the item and leave a console without a screen as removing the old one was part of process.  Then I will have a system which is useless as a result and then I will have to pay to purchase once again. Surly they can do something to force the seller to respopnd like placing their account on hold until the matter is resolved! No, they can carry on selling the items while I'm left impacted upon. 

 

Is there no one else in ebay that I can conctact as the customer support people I have spoken too already just read off a screen, regardless of the situation?

ebay is only concerned about their profits nothing and nobody else ,
to get on my ebay site i have to go through loads of security checks
then they still want to text or email me to confirm its me , this DOES
MAKE ME CONCERNED AS IF THEIR SECURITY IS AS GOOD AS THEY SAY IT IS

There is no point in trying to find someone else.  The ebay MBG has strict rules which require you to return the item for a refund.  They will get you a refund of the item price and the initial postage if you follow the MBG rules.

 

They don't have other rules for items that have to be fitted and where extra costs are incurred.

 

You don't have to use the MBG, you can try taking action yourself against the seller, if they were a business, ask CAB for advice.

Dear eBay Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to address an issue regarding my eBay account, which has been restricted due to the pending submission of my VAT number. I have already requested my VAT number from HMRC, but they have informed me that the process can take up to 40 days.

I understand that you initially requested the VAT number in June, but no specific submission deadline was provided. I am still waiting for HMRC to issue the VAT number, and as soon as I receive it, I will provide the necessary proof to eBay.

Due to this delay, my account has been restricted, preventing me from selling items. Additionally, I have noticed that charges are still being applied to my account despite this restriction. I kindly request that you consider reactivating my account so I can continue selling while I wait for the VAT number from HMRC.

I purchased two sun lounges on Monday. I received the goods on Wednesday only one was a song around you the other is a bed which I didn't order. I have emailed you three times of which there has been no response! I have phoned the company and left messages but they haven't got back to me. Please can you sort this for us ?
