Delivery date not honouring processing/dispatch time

I’m fully aware that there’s now an algorithm used to estimate delivery dates based on past activity. However, this should still take into account the working days/handling time or cut-off time.

Item purchased today at around 10am. Not every item I sell can be dispatch within the same day.

How can I dispatch and deliver the item on the same day using Royal Mail 2nd Class?
The last date is correct, but your estimated date gives a misleading impression that it may arrive on Monday, which based on the service used this isn't realistic with 2nd Class.

I believe it would be better to at least use the "Dispatch by 28 Apr at 11.59pm BST" as the starting date for these calulations not todays date, which should show to the buyer "Estimated delivery date shown to buyer: 30 Apr 2025 - 1 May 2025"

Delivery date not honouring processing/dispatch time

I spent over 30 minutes talking to eBay support this morning trying to explain that they shouldn't be telling the customer that a free 48hr delivery is going to arrive tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday at the latest and the £3.95 24hr delivery will arrive later than the 48hr delivery on Monday. They made me feel it was my fault and we've never had problems until they started messing with the delivery services over the last few weeks. It's still an issue and we're still having to cancel orders because customers think the item should be with them sooner and for free. 😞

17 years I've been selling on here and it worked fine before. This is just a terrible experience for the customer but support are trying to say there's nothing wrong with it and that's correct, really!?
