hi. i sold an item on sept 14th- tracking says delivered on 16th sept. Message from buyer says its not been received, has checked at post office etc, asked local postie who apparantly shrugged and said he must have delivered it just not to the correct person!  Whats the usual solution in these cases?  Thank you ... eBay have sent me four huge boxes of packaging, I don't sell or buy off eBay what am I supposed to do with them? I'm trying to sell a set of steak knives. I sold a set about a year ago without problems, but this time I have been inundated with potential bidders who are unable to bid. One has said she has tried to upload her credit card details several times (I am aware of the knife law and that ebay want to verify bidders are over 18 and have put this in the description) and ebay just won't accept either of her cards. I contacted ebay who said that there is nothing wrong with the listing and that I should ask bidders to contact them to have accounts verified. There are only 4 hours left on the listing and the ebay call back time is currently longer than 2 hours. As most bidders wait until very late in auctions, I will almost definitely miss out on bids. While I won't lose sleep over this one (not expecting this to sell for a lot of money - I've listed them for £2.95), this is frustrating and I have spent a long time replying to messages (not sure why bidders think the seller can solve such problems).  As I have 17 watchers on this (many will not want to bid of course), would it be better to end the listing and try again? One person has told me that ebay has told him (3 times)  that I need to make this a 'Buy-it'now' item (not what ebay told me but who knows if that's true or not...) Can anyone solve this? I looked for electric carving  knives on Ebay, found one similar and listed my own.  Ebay withdrew it as it contravened their knife policy and then penalised me for three days.  My listings were invisible and I couldn't list anything.  How does one know something is not allowed when so many of the same thing are listed, and still are!!  If it was a flick knife or similar then I can understand it, but a carving knife, ridiculous! ... Hi all I cannot sell items on ebay and unsure why. I have sold lots of items recently. It might be as I'm using a different computer.    When I try to sell it says to call customer services, and given a telephone number and security code.   When I call the number it asks for a 7 digit one off password. However, the code provided is 10 digits long so it isn't accepted.   I was placed on hold to speak to a team member. I then received a message saying the office hours were closed (it is 1.30pm on a Thursday). It said it is 24/7 on the page which told me to call.,   What are the office hours please?
