Will opening an eBay shop alongside an actual shop work?

Will opening an eBay shop along side having an actual shop work?  Covid19 has scared off a lot of customers, will an eBay shop help?

There is so much uncertainty in the world at the moment it is impossible to come to any conclusion.

The only positive (maybe) thought i have is that i guess it comes down to a few things.

How much time,money and effort are you able to put into such an idea and maybe consider that if you did go ahead could you take the loss if things didn't work out.
