Buyer taken out a case of item not received. Ebay order states item delivered

Hi

My buyer has taken out an item not received case against me. i have checked the order details and it shows item delivered. Buyer claims she has not received the delivery. Am i supposed to refund  and lose item and costs.

No, if the tracking shows delivery and you entered that on ebay the buyer will not win the case.  Ask them to ask their neighbours because someone has taken it in.

This is where it gets complicated. Ebay Tracking shows delivery but Hermes site tracking shows they have tried to deliver unsuccessfully since the 4th July.

That's very odd, it's usually the other way round.

You need to add your tracking to the case and provided it shows delivery to the address Paypal gave you when the buyer paid then the case will close in your favour and you won't have to refund.

Did the parcel have your name and address on it as the sender so a non-delivery stands a chance of getting returned to you?  

If not then phone Hermes and ask them to investigate further.
