just recieved this from e bay
so as from the 15th you need to either have a printer i pad or smartphone to take a photo of the QR code take that to the post office to send your parcel with nevri or royal fail.
so if you sell 1 item say monday you do the above ..if you sell another item monday night/tuesday you repeat the process by marching to the post office on tuesday so on and so forth.
and if you have multiple parcels you must write the tracking number on each one as unlike evri royal mail QR codes dont have a id number on them.
oh and dont get any bright ideas about well i,ll only go every other day or once a week as it will take longer to get paid for your item...f*** me backwards now i,ve heard it all...😂😂 🤣
so to summerise boys.. and girls you spend every day packing and marching to and from the post office if you live out in the sticks and dont have a local post office ...PASS... the alternertive is to invest in a printer.
HOWEVER
if you are a B/S this doesnt apply to you just carry on as normal paying 35p a listing.
e bay is quiet now is this a ruse to finally out the private sellers or could this be a premonition of what is to come later in the year.. compulsory conversion to a business sellers account or find your e bay account restricted to a buyers only account or just closed down or the last of the remaining private sellers vanish to vinted, facebook or other selling sites or just give up ghost .

They clearly want everyone to switch to business

I just had my first interaction with this nonsense...
I cannot change the dimensions or weight of the parcel, only two choices and but are not good
If I go on the account selling preferences to OPT-OUT from the SD, you can't, you still need to chose either EVRI or RM.
AND the shipping they calculate does not include packaging and handling (not everyone has the luxury of being close to a parcel drop location, not to mention the fact that sometimes certain options are not reliable, i.e. shipping with evri to remote areas or "farm territory"
in the case of my sale I could not even choose between Evri and RM, I was only presented with one option.
I am not really happy.

Ebay has not thought of the negative effects of this system

You can’t add the packaging costs to the item when it’s an auction
Why not? Just means a slightly higher start price surely?

So ebay are punishing sellers (and their buyers) for opting out of a carrier by inflating the cost of the one they keep.

THE COMMUNITY HAS TO LIKE IT OR LUMP IT
And yet the post office are refusing ebay parcels with underpaid postage.

so after realizing how bad this is I went through some of my listings:
two porcelain lamps fairly big and delicate I would only post using certain couriers... from 14 quid (what DHL would charge to process and deliver them) down to 3.71 with Evri...
Really?

Yes, if they refuse to accept a package with an incorrect postage label the seller can report it to ebay as apparently there is an agreement in place. Going to be many heated exchanges in post offices!

send Ebay a message on their Live Chat...it's the only way to register your anger

Just been looking at a listing for a thin blouse , that I know will go as a large letter for £2.70 if printed direct from RM , £2.90 at the PO counter , this seller is on SD .. this is what the postage options state : standard tracked ( no carrier named , but we know it is Evri ) at £4.27, express delivery ( again no carrier named but we know it is RM 48 hr tracked ) at £4.50 … crazy what buyer is going to pay that ? I know I would not .. ebay you should be ashamed , claiming that postage will be 20% less …
