Ebay is now forcing me into SD with no custom delivery option
The largest postage offered under SD is 61cm
There seems to be no way to list anything over 61cm and get the correct postage, even if you declare the dimensions in the listing height, width etc
anyone figured out what to do or does ebay just want us to take large items elsewhere?

Follow it EXACTLY. It does work.

I have been having a similar issue but with low cost items (under £10) and large letter size - when I adjust the price back down it reverts to Simple Delivery.
However, I finally found a solution that now gives me the option of Custom Postage. I changed the item category to another category. Whilst it's not a 100% accurate category description, it's only a sub-category so shouldn't affect the results when buyers are searching.
I know that low cost items are exempt from Simple Delivery in certain categories, so the same might apply to oversized items. Not sure how you find the right category though!

Does not work either.
The size option only comes up after I put in the old 800 workaround and makes no difference as it's optional.
Everything was going well, I didn't need to do the £800 thing any more. It seemed to recognise the item being over sized and automatically gave me the oversized options until now.
I have 21 Military Jackets to list as a job lot, there is no option to put sizes in and if I put them manually in the specifics it makes no difference. Plus it makes no sense to put the size of the package in the specifics as that information is for the size of the item(s) not the package.
My jackets are packed into a box 75 x 40 x 20 which is over the medium size (61 x 46 x 46). It is only 11kg and wont let me have oversized option as it reverts pack to unsimple delivery as soon as I bring the price below 800.
The other trick of saving it as a draft does not work either, there is no job lot/bulk option in Militaria and changing it to wholesale/job lots makes no different either.
As 2 of the sizes are in the medium parcel option I am left with cutting up the box to reshape it to within the 61 x 46 x 46 as a last resort.

What is DHL limit? I set it to 50kg 300 x 300 x 300 and it still reverts back to unsimple option and small parcel. lol

Yes, I tried it with title wood plank, in category timber but since learned that other items don't work. It seems to work with items that will be large. Works with guitar . I have a print tray length 82 cm, did not work in their collectables, display category so changed the category to Furniture, bookcases, shelving and it did work. Would of course have just use Evri in the past but I don't want all my listings set to Evri with SD
They will never get it right for everything unfortunately ,best they keep it simple and let us do postage again.
I just set weight to 31kg, length 145cm

It is no good people just saying it doesn't work without you stating the steps that you are taking with screenshots so that I can see what you are doing. There are 2 workarounds depending on whether you have been updated on 06/08/25. My crystal ball cannot see everything that you do, you have to help me to help you.

DHL only has one postage cost 12.97 or something for items between 20 and 30kg
according to the postage price list for sd in the help pages
I doubt many people need to use it for run of the mill stuff

DHL appear to be offering collection only from posts that I have seen which will not suit many people I expect.
