eBAY HAS CHANGED FOR THE WORSE.

eBay have certainly changed FOR THE WORSE during this past 12 / 18 months.

They have become a money grabbing company with NO REGARD for their sellers, buyers and others such as  the local Post Offices we wish to support etc.

BPF and SD are ridiculous and poorly ill thought out changes …. how many large companies and organisations would have pursued such calamities this long.

Doomsday, 15th April is nearing each day … I doubt there will be any rethink from the top !!!

For so many of us, the past has been enjoyable and gave us some pocket money whilst recycling our pre loved items for others to enjoy.

Life goes on and there will a fair bit of distressing for several of us soon.

With you all the way CRN. I cannot understand why ebay have implemented this, forced implementation too when they knew that there were so many things not working, problems, glitches and so on. That is STUPIDITY at the highest level. I am waiting now for ebay to make the announcement along the lines of "the new simplified postage has been met with eagerness and excitement and is working well"...just like they did when they stopped sellers leaving any feedback other than a positive and then when they changed the category and sub category selection. They were blatant lies. I am currently having a nightmare problem with an overseas buyer who has been invoiced for several items and are being charged over £100 in postage due to no combined shipping. Their items would go in 1 small parcel box. They have now asked me to cancel the orders. I am at the end of my tether. To top it all off, the people who engineered this ridiculous change will have been paid thousands and at the same time are the type that would go ballistic when they go to the supermarket only to find that tinned peas have been moved from one end of aisle 2 to the other end.

Agreed:

• Buyer Protection Fee – a total lie, they are just pocketing the money.
• Holding private sellers money - earning interest/investing.
• Simple Delivery - once mandatory ebay will make money on every postage label for every item sold.
• Hiding listings - ebay are hiding sellers listings so they have to pay to make them visible again.
• Disabling the invoice facility - buyers are forced to pay BPF on each item so no combining orders now.
• With Simple Delivery they make the buyer pay higher postage if a seller only offers one carrier.

Is the CEO implementing all of these changes to try and buy himself some time because their share prices have remained stagnant? That is despite them laying off a large percentage of their staff and also buying back billions worth of their own stock in December.

All of these changes seem to be short term fixes(free to sell, promoted listings, managed payments etc) to temporarily keep share holders happy while seeming to do real harm to the long term sustainability of the company.

It's amazing what new and innovative changes you can come up with to temporarily raise the share prices when you're on about $1,000,000 or more a month.
